Believe me, I want change. However, given the status of the views of the populace, it'll be a step-by-step long term process. It will be painfully slow, but it can happen, and I think it will happen. It's not the ideal process, but it's better than nothing. I don't think the majority of the populace wants to be where we currently are, but to do a complete 180 right away is at best dam near impossible.

Take something rather simple: equal rights for the LGBT. The first step was the homosexuals. THEN it was the trans. Currently it's gender ID. It took awhile, but at least it's happening/has happened.

Just the latest application of Trump's Joseph Goebbels communication strategy: "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." He's been doing this with everything from "Dems want open borders" to "No connections with Russia" and much more for years.

What will deflation really do? Stop and think about it beyond the surface. Nothing good comes from it. As bad as it is for business, it's even worse for consumers because businesses stop provided the goods and services at a loss, create large quantities of former-employees, and increase participation at the food shelves that have no food. Deflation is a product of depressions, and has on occasion caused depressions. You really need to stop listening to the Chili-Forgettery Guy for your "news".
