To me, this seems like the *easiest* way to nip any issues, because companies that refuse to comply are basically aiding and abetting the issue.

These letters are basically calling a bluff... It sucks, but if we really want to get people going through the "right" channels to immigrate (a whole different debate), you need to get the supply of their jobs down. I've stated before, any immigration reform needs to start with employers who have entire staffs made up of undocumented workers. Hit them and you will cut off supply of the jobs.

exactly, and it is both liberals and conservatives, Republicans an Democrats who are guilty of this
it could be argued that our nations problem with obesity is tied to immigration, our food is cheap as a consequence of the illegals working on farms and in food industry
and while we are at it blame the need for raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour on it too, illegals work cheap, driving down wages

round 'em up, and send them all back to wherever they came from
if they return, concrete block, a rope, and a one way trip to the Gulf of Mexico

Who didn't see this coming when Trump was elected?


Trump signaled his misgivings about some of those cuts in recent days — rescinding a proposal to zero out Special Olympics funding, which had sparked a bipartisan backlash, and promising to protect a cleanup program for the Great Lakes in states that could be crucial to his reelection.

Except, Trump has called for cuts to the Special Olympics and the Great Lakes in every budget he has submitted to Congress so far.


If they don't want to be seen as the party of the 1%, maybe they should stop acting like it.

Yeah. So smart to cut funding for the programs designed to stop refugees from being generated in the first place. America = Epic Fail.

NY made some seriously smart changes today. They will have a congestion charge and increase transaction fees on high end real estate transactions in order to better fund the MTA. These are the type of things that should be happening much more.
