POTUS 45:48: There's Always Barber College

Re: POTUS 45:48: There's Always Barber College

Newt Gingrich is a guy who, when he wants to pass off his opinion as a deep idea, just adds the word "profoundly" to the sentence. He's the perfect representative of contemporary conservative thinking.

My favorite smart guy thing is when he said he were going to become a secular atheist country run by Islamic fundamentalists. He won Derper Bingo with that sentence.

Re: POTUS 45:48: There's Always Barber College

Since we knew Obama was roughly a work-aholic, it's interesting when you hear a lazy white president complain about the previous black president was lazy.

Does anyone seriously think he's not a racist?

No one with a functioning cortex.

Interview of a MAGAite defending themselves on NPR this morning included the gem "It doesn't make us racist, just means we have a different way of looking at things." There is no end to what his supporters can justify.

Well, that particular quote is just one of Dump's racist fans showing solidarity with Dump's racism -- i.e, 75% of Dump's voters. But there are hilarious examples of people tying themselves in knots to deny his racism, including the Mr. Black Conservative guys.

What a weird lie to tell.

I thought that was amusing.

I would reply back to them- just because YOU don't think you are a racist does not mean you are not.

Or at least ask- "what era are you looking to go back to, for the word 'again'?" As I've seen plenty of threads wanting the 50's and early 60's, forgetting that it was legal then to discriminate, and that the top marginal tax rate was 90%, and that we were fighting a lot of secret wars.... I could go on.

He’s always liked to be dramatic on his guests at speeches. I’m hoping for one of those bound and gagged women being smuggled in a van across the Mexican border for SOTU

The biggest issue is that people equate racism with overt hatred of colored people. They have zero clue that you can be racist while not directly hating people for the color of their skin.

Or even just perpetuating a racist economic/justice system.

Explain, please.

Re: POTUS 45:48: There's Always Barber College

Explain, please.

??? For you or in simple enough terms that the deniers can understand?

It's not a hard concept- in theory, we are all equal, and it's against the law to bias WRT to the color of your skin. Which is fine and dandy, except that police have always taken dark brown colored skin people to task than anyone else; or that since we base education on property taxes, nobody seems to mind the decades and decades of intentional (and legal at the time) suppression of wealth of African Americans, and there are huge swaths of poor, black people who struggle to get a decent education...

You know, the typical things that cause riots once in a while, and people are more bothered by the impact on themselves instead of seeing the injustice...

This guy has so many conflicts of interest and has to revise so often he carries around a card to remind him of his conflicts

He not only hires the best people but the best people ALL want to work with him. Colonel Huckleberry Sanders for example. No one better.
