Uh, no. They passed the solution he agreed to in December. Than Rush and Ann had a hissy fit and he blew the whole thing up and Ryan (Ayn Rand Masturbation Boy) went with it leaving the Turtle out in the cold.

The dude took the country hostage. There is no reason to budge a centimeter towards his position. The neutral position is status quo ante: he reopens the government and we run on CR.

By your logic, I can climb to the top of the Capital Building with a rifle and demand a 100% top marginal rate from the current 30%. You would offer me 65%. Ya know, to be fair.

South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham, the new chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, plans to launch new investigations into the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email server.

Graham, who backed President Trump’s demands for investigations into several Obama-era scandals last year, now plans to probe the FBI’s handling of the Clinton investigation and its Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant application that targeted form Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, The Hill reports.

Graham previously told reporters this month that he would do a “deep dive on the FISA issue.” Conservatives have repeatedly insisted that the Justice Department violated Page’s rights by collecting his electronic communications. The FBI has said it was investigating Page because they believed he was conspiring with the Russian attack on the 2016 election.

Graham also told Fox News lat month that he thought the FBI “phoned in” the Clinton probe because the agency was “in the tank” for her campaign.

Republican Judges issues those FISA warrants which are next to impossible to get. Why do these ****ing law and order Republicans hate the law so much?

The Hill reported that when Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois, the No. 2 Democrat in the Senate, was told about Graham’s plans, he “started laughing and compared them to the ‘thrilling days of yesteryear.’”

“This is going to be like the History Channel, it turns out. Instead of taking a look at the current issues, Lindsey Graham wants to go back and answer important questions about the Bermuda Triangle and Hillary Clinton,” Durbin said, adding that Graham may want to question former President Jimmy Carter next.

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., who also sits on the committee, quipped that perhaps Graham should “investigate Benghazi some more.”

Then you should be against him twice. Both chambers passed the clean bill in December after Dump agreed to it. Then Anne Coulter and Rush withheld his daily ego feeding so he reneged. It's his shutdown. For god's sake he even said so!

Scoobs I am totally in favor of Graham making an a ss out of himself. I also like how Dems are FINALLY throwing off the antiquated notion of civility, which only their side was clinging to, and started publicly mocking the guy. They need to keep that up, sorta how Sen Bennett just ripped Calgary Ted by name on the Senate floor a little while ago. No point in being polite to Nazis.

The ND Legislature has a bill going through it right now that would set up a no-interest load fund for unpaid government workers.

They set up a food bank at Bangor airport for Air Traffic control and TSA workers. Restaurants bringing in food for lunches and dinners.

If your kid had a temper tantrum so that they could get a $200 toy, would you say no or attempt to deal?

And if you've already said that the kid would get a lot of what they want, as long as they stop the temper tantrum, and they keep doing it- do you start to negotiate?

dumpy has already admitted that this shut down is 100% his. He had his deal, agreed to it, and then went back on it. And then had his temper tantrum- all at the fault of his own group who whined about the new term starting and they not being able to get what they want.

If you give him what he wants, what's to stop him from having another shut down to get something? This is 100% the wrong way to approach this problem, so why should anyone let him get away with it?

He's had two solid years of a majority in BOTH houses, and NOW it's an emergency that he holds people hostage for???

This isn't about the wall.

And as if on cue Dump immediately sh-ts all over Graham publicly.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and a bipartisan group of senators talked up a new potential agreement to fund the government for a few weeks so they could negotiate around the wall and other immigration measures. Graham said he talked to Trump, who didn’t rule out the measure. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) huddled in McConnell’s office to try and break the logjam. Schumer was tight-lipped as he exited the meeting with McConnell, repeating “we’re talking” with a smile roughly a dozen times as he walked back to his own office. And for the first time in weeks, it seemed like some progress was being made.

Then the White House chimed in.

“As was made clear to Senator Lindsay Graham, the 3 week CR [continuing resolution] would only work if there is a large down payment on the wall,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement as McConnell and Schumer met.

That was met with an icy stare from Democrats.

While it's awful for our country there is some justice in the GOP having to deal with Dump. He is what they deserve. He just isn't what the rest of us deserve.

I don't want to see $5 spent on a border wall, much less $5 billion. Undoubtedly Pelosi and the Dems are extracting a great deal of joy out of torturing Trump politically, and I'm sure if the shoe were on the other foot the Republicans would probably be doing the same. That's the problem. People would much rather achieve political gain than any sort of resolution.

I've read this three times. It makes literally no sense. I'll grant all the words in it are English, but it doesn't connect up with any real meaning. Is it slam poetry or something?
