The Dow continues its free fall. Now it is down 4k since the first week of December. (-653 today) Down almost 3k from this time last year.

A MAGA acquaintance on my Facebook feed made the observation that the Dow Jones has dropped from the high water mark of 26,191.22 on November 7th, just "after the democrats regained the house."

Apparently ignoring the two week upswing at Thanksgiving and into the start of December.

I am glad that people are realizing percentages of the drops (mind you, it's still really bad) instead of just raw numbers.

And the fact that the Dems controlling the house has been a foregone conclusion and fully priced in since May.

Until people regain the ability to admit to their mistakes (such as voting for trump) they will continue to make any excuse possible to accept everything trump does or says, no matter what it is. A man who voted for trump could catch him banging his 15 year old daughter and the man will spin it as his baby girl found herself a rich man. trump is just a symptom of how effed up our society really is.

Let me help with the english. This entire board talked all summer about how the Dems were over 80% likely to win the house and fully expected the Dems to take the house in the fall - many posters by 30 seats.

Yet your theory is that major investment banks who are experts in predicting market outcomes assumed...dunno...no election or something and were totally blind sided by Dems taking the house. Is that the scenario you're trying to sell?

Nice to see the focus here about money instead of humans. Another kid has died under the watch of our government and the focus is on wall st.

That’s kind of sad.

Although, at this point, also expected of others who had claimed in the past to have some moral standing.

People are dying and being locked up when they are asking for help, and we worry about money. Someone needs to remind me how this is so different from Germany in the 30’s.

Doesn't matter.

Not a fetus.

Not a middle/upper class suburban white kid.

In short, not a contributing member of society. A moocher. A freeloader. Better for the rest of us that they're dead, instead of living off our tax dollars.
