Nothing is going to save Manafort...no pardon, no shenanigans by Hatch nothing. He is going to prison and nothing and no one will protect him.
FWIW I dont think Hatch's plan will work anyways. I dont see Roberts or Gorsuch overturning the current doctrine.

Scoobs if Mueller defrauded the feds on his income he defrauded the state (Virginia?) as well. Prez pardons don't apply for state crimes so he's looking at a long prison sentence since he's already admitted to the facts of the case.
