Re: POTUS 45.43: The Caravan is Coming. Fear the Caravan.

Duh! Don'tcha know the word "Socialist" was in the title of the "National Socialist German Workers' Party"? That means they were left-wing commies!

Explains why they attacked Stalin ;)

And none of the "Good Germans" will say a thing...just like they arent whining about "States Rights" anymore.

Hey. Where did the caravan go?

MPLS star tribune today said they’ve demanded buses to help them.

Crazy comments. Star trib is a liberal rag but yet is saying caravan is demanding transport. It was not a flattering headline

Yeah, the "caravan" isn't demanding transport. Many are saying there just aren't enough spots to go around/don't have money for transports. They're just hoping to make it to the border alive.

Seems perfect that the AG would be as scandal ridden as the President he fellates.

As I understand it what Trump did to put his new AG in is Unconstitutional. I've heard it from numerous legal scholars. Seems to be on way more solid ground than those that say birthright citizenship can't be taken away by a Presidential Executive Order.

We had legislation protecting Mueller. You bought what Turtle Boy said and didn't push to pass it. Now it's too late. And when the House in January picks up the pieces every Republican who was in office is going to be exposed for the fools they really are.

I'll let George Conway do my work for me.

https://nypost.com/2018/11/08/kellyanne-conways-husband-trumps-ag-appointment-unconstitutional/

The basics of it is Whitaker was never confirmed by the Senate. That's the process in the Constitution and it wasn't followed. Rosenstein should be acting AG right now by law.

You trust Kellyanne's hubby? Um, not sure whose judgement is more questionable: his or yours. ;)

Whitaker can serve without Senate confirmation for 210 days under the Federal Vacancies Reform Act (p.11).

What folks should be worried about is this:
Those 210 days of Whitaker roll across the time period between the Congresses. The Senate will go into recess before new Congress is seated in January. During that recess window the President can make a recess appointment that does not have to face confirmation (Constitution Article II, Section 2, Clause 3).

That only applies if someone who has been confirmed is unavailable. So, no, he cannot. This is blatantly unconstitutional. Rosenstein is and should be the acting AG.

Who that has been confirmed as AG is available.

Sessions turned in a resignation and hence is unavailable.
Yes, he was asked to and did (mistake by Sessions).
He could've made Trump fire him; then you may have had a point.

But by resigning he's made himself "unavailable."

NO.

Rosenstein has been confirmed by the Senate. Whitaker has not. That's the difference. Simple english dude. Just heard again there will be legal challenges to this appt. It's also been stated this morning that the vacancies act is unconstitutional as it relates to the AG office.

Now the Constitution Party is changing Asylum law on the fly.

Re: POTUS 45.43: The Caravan is Coming. Fear the Caravan.

No tears for deposed AG Sessions who faithfully executed Trump's racist policies and set civil rights enforcement/oversight back decades. His thank you/congratulations note from David Duke certainly must be in the mail.

As one of his final moves in office before resigning Wednesday, outgoing Attorney General Jeff Sessions severely limited the Justice Department's ability to enter into court-enforced decrees to reform police departments that have shown a pattern of civil rights violations

Given black unemployment is at record lows, he must be doing one **** job at being racist...

Can't get off that line, eh?
