How is Trump a dictator? How is he suppressing opposition? How is he using martial law? Show me actual policies, not commentaries.

Oh, and you got this, too.

I did not say the US is fascist. I said Trump is fascist and he's fighting a US with an extremely strict liberal democratic foundation. But he himself is fighting that on every front and all of these moves are largely unprecedented. The Donald's push towards fascism by definition:

Authoritarian, dictator - More executive orders per year than any president in the last 40 years (wiki), glorifying self by disparaging every other president, recommending ridding of term limits, admiring Putin's 'strong leadership'/despising deeply democratic Europe, deep state represents desire to purge independence
Suppression of the opposition, one party state - elimination of filibuster, Trump warns of 'left-wing violence' if Democrats win mid-term elections
Pronounces national rejuvenation - 'make America great again' enough said, tax cuts create bubble with massive debt - very unsound
Violence is not a negative - pushing guns on as many fronts as possible, extreme support of the NRA, support of counter balance to 'left wing violence'
Political violence, imperialism needed - constant criticisms of liberal Americans as the enemy, collaboration with Russia, allowing Russian interference, economic imperialism with allies in the form of tariffs
Mixed economy protectionist and interventionist - tariffs, subsidies, muzzle and control social media, criticize company after company, asking for boycotts

And there's much more.

Donald Trump is really a definitive, text book fascist. Here's fascism from wiki:

Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of radical authoritarian ultranationalism, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy.

Fascists believe that liberal democracy is obsolete and they regard the complete mobilization of society under a totalitarian one-party state as necessary to prepare a nation for armed conflict and to respond effectively to economic difficulties. Such a state is led by a strong leader—such as a dictator and a martial government composed of the members of the governing fascist party—to forge national unity and maintain a stable and orderly society. Fascism rejects assertions that violence is automatically negative in nature and views political violence, war and imperialism as means that can achieve national rejuvenation. Fascists advocate a mixed economy, with the principal goal of achieving autarky through protectionist and interventionist economic policies.

Webster no work anymore?

Wiki? :)

It's still a potato no matter how you spell it Dan Quayle.

Definition of fascism:
1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2 : a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control

early instances of army fascism and brutality —J. W. Aldridge

Thank you

(Mookie hates lazy ;))

With a word, idea, event, etc as common as "fascism," I see no problem with wiki. It's really tough to mess that up, and if someone makes erroneous changes to the wiki page, it's corrected almost immediately.

So again, if it’s a witch hunt and he’s innocent, why would you block it??

“President Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, said that Trump's legal team will likely claim executive privilege in order to block special counsel Robert Mueller's final report on the Russia investigation from being released to the public.”

Bringing transparency to government. Not like that secretive Obama and Crooked Hillary.

Re: POTUS 45.40: If You Need a Lawyer, Don't Hire Michael Cohen

Such a beautiful mix of cowardice and the appearance of guilt.

Re: POTUS 45.40: If You Need a Lawyer, Don't Hire Michael Cohen

So Trump publicly attacked Sessions again.

When does Sessions resign or get the axe?

Re: POTUS 45.40: If You Need a Lawyer, Don't Hire Michael Cohen

So I see dumpy whining that Sessions brought charges against two republican law makers. It seems as if he thinks that R's should be able to get away with breaking the law when they are in power.

How can anyone really believe the line of "draining the swamp" when the moron wants to let R's get away with law breaking??? This in addition to the money that he's raking in and the many corrupt acts that his people are doing right in front of our faces.

Do people really want to think this is good? Whatever happened to the rule of law?????

BTW, dumpy's words are proving to be pretty dangerous- as one hears death threats against news people happening more often. I'm 100% sure dumpy will deny any responsibility once one of his people shoot up another news source. We already see that the radical right SAY that they feel emboldened by dumpy's words. There may not be actual policy things going on, but the words certainly matter to his minions. Pretty sad that he's getting away with this tone from his own party.

Still waiting for my check from Soros. Man, this guy stiffs his contractors so much, you'd think we were working for Trump. :D

That would be the worst possible move. I wish he'd put more information (save for sources and methods) out there, not less.

I would think most republicans other than diehard Trumpers would feel that way. Just about everything Trump and Rudy have done to date suggests guilt of some offense serious enough to cover up.

Why would he want to incriminate himself?

Besides the ways he's done it so far.

Actually a good point. Why have to defend yourself if you have the power to not be in that position in the first place?
