I’ll admit to being a bit dense at times but I’m not sure I get your point here or maybe I just disagree. Maybe because I think white collar crimes actually should get treated more harshly, especially anyone involved in the financial disaster of 2008.
On the other hand undocumented immigrants do more good than harm for our society (on average) and while I’m not sure I’d advocate for open borders, I do think you should make legal immigration easier and only kick out immigrants if you identify them and they’ve committed serious crimes. Going around rounding up undocumented farm workers/other highly skilled labor and deporting them is colossally stupid and is basically just hurting the economy in certain regions, specifically the rural ones that dump pretends to care about.

When I said "last point" I wasn't referring to the white collar criminal hypothetical which I can understand how the point wasn't very clear. I agree with you on how we should be treating white collar crime.
Someone with Brent's perspective on illegal immigration would never react to a story of an illegal immigrant saving a life by suggesting we should take it easy on illegal immigration enforcement. But, in the reverse situation like with Mollie Tibbetts, they jump at the opportunity to use it as evidence that illegal immigration is a big problem.

His point is that when an undocumented immigrant/Muslim/black person commits a crime, it's an indictment against the entire group. When a cop/Christian/white person commits a crime, it's a bad apple that shouldn't spoil the bunch.

Just because some might do that doesnt mean you get to infer Brent feels that way. Of course he wouldnt take it easy on an illegal immigrant who saves someone...their good act doesnt change the fact that they are still illegal. As long as that is still the underlying fact he will be consistent. I dont see where that is a problem.
Brent has made it quite clear what his feelings are about this case...not sure why you feel the need to use him as your jumping off point you could find some actual examples of it with a simple twitter or google search. You seem to be tilting at windmills by arguing with Brent over something he isnt even saying.

I want to just quote this so that people are not distracted by the far more important news that is going on.
People get killed every single day. How many people died in Chicago a few weeks ago? How many names of those do we know? Why does the news hype a white women going missing and dying nationally when we barely hear anything locally when a poor black person goes missing, let alone when they are murdered in cold blood for one reason or another? And now we get to use this odd obsession to rage over the idea that it was an immigrant from Mexico that did this crime- how much do you want to bet that if it were an illegal from Canada, nobody would care?
Don't get distracted, people. If he murdered the woman, and they can prove it, he will get punished, done. Given the murder rates in this country, it means nothing about the accusers background.
This just plays into dumpys distraction campaign. The far more important news is that the far right is being fed more food for their racist BS, which will make them back what appears to be a very criminal president even more.
BTW, when I heard the preview of dumpy's Fox News interview on Morning Edition this morning, he actually addressed that it would be a bad thing if the campaign paid Cohen, which is why he's claiming that it came out of his pocket. Which is to answer the question if he new it was a crime or not- yes, he DID know it was a crime. And he's continuing to cover it up.

Well, since we had an illegal kill a girl in Iowa we should start raiding all the farms and slaughter houses around the country and round them up. Send them back. The one thing we should never ever ever do is have comprehensive immigration reform. Or a study on why/how many workers we need in this country and why so that we can set up a guest worker program that works. **** that ****. And all those videos out there on youtube that show farms across the country that can't hire Americans to do the work cause they last about 2 hours out in the fields. Exactly. I've made it clear that in THIS case, the main issue is this POS's attitude towards women. There are other relevant issues at hand, but they are not the main ones.
