POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Depends on how you define product. In 2000, 2004, and 2016 the Democrats had the most qualified person on the ticket and they couldn't generate the enthusiasm necessary to get the votes.

That person on the top of the ticket pays a lot of people a lot of money to get those people enthusiastic. That they couldn't do so says that they didn't do their jobs very well. Jobs that they got an eff-ton of money to do.

Quit blaming the ordinary folk out there who couldn't get excited over the candidate enough to go vote for them. Blame the people whose job it was to get those people out to vote for that candidate, and didn't do it.

Maybe you have no idea what you are talking about. Maybe you look worse and worse with each post. I implore you to read things and learn how to comprehend them.

Me and the ACLU I guess. They certainly don't know as much as a bunch of random people posting on a college hockey message board.

I will give you the ACLU here. That one caught me off guard. I still think they are wrong.

And you still haven't provided five things trump has done that are good.

Why? Do you think the research is flawed or some other reason?

He probably hasn't done five good things. As I said in my other post, I certainly didn't have high expectations on him. I'm not sure if he has done a lot wrong either though. The environmental stuff has me concerned but what else has he done of much consequence?

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Ouch...
“There’s a whole host of issues we’d like to discuss with him,” Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) told MSNBC, mentioning criminal justice reform, income inequality and voting rights.

“We look forward to an open dialogue ― Steve Bannon, however, should not be in the room,” Jeffries continued.

“He’s a stone-cold racist and a white supremacist sympathizer,” Jeffries said. “It’d be hard for me to participate in any meeting with Steve Bannon that normalizes his presence in the White House.”

Are you afraid you'll find that you're wrong? It's ok to be wrong as long as you learn. Science is the quest for truth. Ad astra per aspera.

I can name 15-100 thighs he's done wrong. You can't even name two he's done right.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

I am glad that at least the environmental issues have you concerned. It's both a great concern and an even better opportunity (economically and commercially) for the entire world.

Sorry but this is a recipe for disaster. At some point voters need to take responsibility and exercise their civic duty. Republicans would vote for a potted plant or an escaped lunatic from the puzzle house for President if they thought it would help pass their agenda. If Democrats insist every candidate needs to be JFK/Obama type inspirational candidates, they will continue to lose because those people only come along once in a generation if you're lucky.

Maybe it Dems find their social programs cut to fund tax cuts for the rich and a defense buildup, the EPA abolished, 20M people losing health coverage, and a return to 50's era voting restrictions they'll wake the fuk up and actually vote. Dems had a pretty robust turnout operation but you can't use cattle prods on people the last time I checked.

Today Kepler and I will put aside our political differences and trade barbs of a different sort as our alma maters face off against each other.

Today Kep will be a proud Red. Me? I'm golden.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Trump is already up over $10M in travel expenses billed to taxpayers in his first month with his third straight weekend vacation. Lazy Obama only spent $97M over his eight years.

To be fair, Trump hasn't taken a vacation trip. We all wish he would, a nice long one...

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Are we talking just trump or his family? I think we need to include everyone from both families in the totals.

I would also like to know what Obama's total travel bill was. Not just vacations before I accuse him of grossly overspending.

I wonder how much of this is accounting versus expenses you wouldn't have if he didn't travel. The golf and travel complaints from both sides are pretty lame.
