POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

"The news is fake because the news is fake."

That's it, I'm keeping my kids away from Penn. Not saying it's their fault, but I'd rather not risk it.

Penn is just the entity that his daddy paid to buy him a degree. None of his ostensible classmates remembered him as in any way achieving anything there. I assume he just commuted and had his servants do his take-home exams.

And anyway, it wasn't Penn, it was Wharton -- business school. People go into business if they aren't smart enough to go into medicine, imaginative enough to go into academia, hard working enough to go into law, or ethical enough to go into auto repair.

Not being satisfied with "140 character news" (not aimed at you DGF) and wanting the details:

Is Homan one of Trump's or a hold-over from Obama?
Why the limited (members with jurisdictional interests in immigration enforcement) attendees?

Additional details not included there, Homan was supposed to meet with the entire CHC earlier this week but cancelled on them in favor of a bipartisan gathering (where CHC members could be replaced with friendlier Rs). Pelosi also said after the meeting that she had to fight to get the CHC Chairwoman invited.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

According to the federal complaint document, on January 5, 2017, McDowell posted to Facebook an anti-semetic screed referencing Dylann Roof, which included the statement: "they should be Feasting on the enemy that stole their Heritage and their bloodline and trying to run us off of this Earth you can post pictures of ********** Viking and swords all the s*** you want to post if you ain’t got the heart to fight for Yahweh like dylann roof did you need to shut the ******* up…”

But remember, Christian Taliban are in no way a terrorist threat in this country...

So who is this Homan jamoke?

Partial answer: https://www.ice.gov/leadership

The way the bio reads he's a hold-over (took over as Acting Director on Jan 30).

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

The Beeb goes there, in the most decorous, British way possible.

Some have suggested that Mr Trump has Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).

People with this condition often show some of the following characteristics, according to Psychology Today:

Grandiosity, a lack of empathy for other people and a need for admiration

They believe they are superior or may deserve special treatment

They seek excessive admiration and attention, and struggle with criticism or defeat

Wrong.

But then I guess the rest of you who can't get into business school go to learn how to plant seeds or make a bed. :D

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Congressional Black Caucus tweet to Trump that they "sent him a letter on Jan. 19" and he never wrote back. "Sad"

Because the lying media never set up the meeting for him!

Also, if you watch the clip, it's pretty apparent Trump has no clue what the CBC is.

This took me a second, but it's actually an excellent Cornell joke. Bravo. :)

I do enjoy that he told the black chick to set up a meeting with "the blacks."

There aint no racism like casual racism cuz casual racism don't stop.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

You should really watch his whole presser, but if you can't spare the time here's the Reader's Digest version of the F-ckwit-in-Chief's performance.

1. “Russia Is Fake News”
2. “This administration is running like a fine-tuned machine”
3. “The leaks are absolutely real; the news is fake”
4. “I’m not ranting and raving”
5. “Nuclear holocaust would be like no other”
6. “I am the least anti-Semitic person that you have seen in your entire life”
7. "The greatest thing I could do is shoot that ship"
8. “Are they friends of yours?”

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

What an awful world we live in that Trump's supporters fail to see what rubes they all are. Just for the sake of argument let's say that banning Muslims and building a wall to keep Mexicans out are not stupid, immoral and completely unworkable ideas. How do they not see the idiot they supported doesn't have the first clue about how to go about making it happen? Oh wait, they are idiots too.

There were plenty of intelligent, good hearted people who did not believe the civil war was going to happen. Many intelligent, good hearted people believed Johnson about the Gulf of Tonkin or Nixon when he initially denied any White House involvement with Watergate. Worse things are going to happen if Trump is allowed to be the president for an entire term.

Trump is stupid, probably dumber than any president before him. He's probably more mentally ill and unstable by leaps and bounds than Nixon. And he might be the most belligerent person ever elected president, and unquestionably the most belligerent in the nuclear age. Not to mention the American people are dumber now than than in decades. We don't think critically. We suffer from an extreme propensity to seek out every avenue of confirmation bias. There aren't a dozen true statesmen in the U.S. Congress. This is not going to end well, people.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Lifted from the Slate comments section --- too funny, and unfortunately, too true...

"Imagine American democracy as one of those rotating sandwiches machines. The type with little triangles of ham sandwich and egg salad twirling around with dubious refrigeration.

Now imagine there are only two sandwiches left. Egg salad and something labeled "sh*t sandwich."

The american voter is like unto a hungry man who when confronted with this choice reasoned:

"I really don't like egg salad. It gives me gas and I don't trust that it is chilled properly in this clearly poorly maintained unit I know the label says sh*t sandwich but surely the powers that be would would not allow a vending machine to dispense human fecal matter as food. I'm going to take my chances that this is something else."

We are now moments after the first bite..."

Can you please find me the article; I wish to give the correct credit for this gem.

We can only hope that the Joint Chiefs have opened up the football, removed the nuclear codes, put them some place safe where Trump will never find them (between the pages of a book, any book? anywhere in Tiffany's house? stapled to a telephone pole in a non-white neighborhood? outside in sunlight?) and replaced them with little slips of paper that read "Running in circles get your shoes worn down on one side" and on the flip side Lucky Numbers 3 8 11 63 41 73 77.

Or the second page of one of his intelligence reports 😂
