POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

The Beeb goes there, in the most decorous, British way possible.

It goes on to say ...

Also in a letter to the NYT, Dr Allen Frances, who helped write the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV, one of the main key manuals used to classify mental disorders, said that "most amateur diagnosticians have mislabelled" Mr Trump with the diagnosis of "narcissistic personality disorder".

"He may be a world-class narcissist, but this doesn't make him mentally ill, because he does not suffer from the distress and impairment required to diagnose mental disorder."

He added: "Mr Trump causes severe distress rather than experiencing it and has been richly rewarded, rather than punished, for his grandiosity, self-absorption and lack of empathy.

"It is a stigmatising insult to the mentally ill (who are mostly well behaved and well meaning) to be lumped with Mr Trump (who is neither).

"Bad behaviour is rarely a sign of mental illness, and the mentally ill behave badly only rarely.

Psychiatric name-calling is a misguided way of countering Mr Trump's attack on democracy."

What? Really? Hadn't noticed ...

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Those aren't "holocausts".

Although I'm sure that the people who lived there would disagree.

You should really watch his whole presser, but if you can't spare the time here's the Reader's Digest version of the F-ckwit-in-Chief's performance.

1. “Russia Is Fake News”
2. “This administration is running like a fine-tuned machine”
3. “The leaks are absolutely real; the news is fake”
4. “I’m not ranting and raving”
5. “Nuclear holocaust would be like no other”
6. “I am the least anti-Semitic person that you have seen in your entire life”
7. "The greatest thing I could do is shoot that ship"
8. “Are they friends of yours?”

Didn't watch it, but the Atlantic had a pitch-perfect summary including an actual lol: "'I'm not ranting and raving,' he ranted and raved."

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

So Harward turned down SCROTUS' offer to be the new NSA director. Saw it posted that he said the offer was a sh$t sandwich.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

"The news is fake because the news is fake."

That's it, I'm keeping my kids away from Penn. Not saying it's their fault, but I'd rather not risk it.

Wharton is one of those things that I group in with 9/11, Pearl Harbor, and the Civil War. If you see a company **** it's workers over the table, you can be sure a Wharton grad was behind it. Their graduates turn in their souls and conscience to get a piece of paper.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Lifted from the Slate comments section --- too funny, and unfortunately, too true...

"Imagine American democracy as one of those rotating sandwiches machines. The type with little triangles of ham sandwich and egg salad twirling around with dubious refrigeration.

Now imagine there are only two sandwiches left. Egg salad and something labeled "sh*t sandwich."

The american voter is like unto a hungry man who when confronted with this choice reasoned:

"I really don't like egg salad. It gives me gas and I don't trust that it is chilled properly in this clearly poorly maintained unit I know the label says sh*t sandwich but surely the powers that be would would not allow a vending machine to dispense human fecal matter as food. I'm going to take my chances that this is something else."

We are now moments after the first bite..."

That is brilliant.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Holy ****. This press conference is a twilight zone. This man is mentally ill.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Oh my god... If I ever meet the BBC reporter who asked him about the travel ban EO being an example of a smooth government, I will buy him a beer. That man deserves a medal.

His snark was so perfect and I don't think Trump even understood that the reporter was calling him a moron.
