POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

... What is wrong with people??
Are you asking what's wrong that a dinner patron snapped selfies with the nuclear-football guy; what's wrong with the nuclear-football guy that said yes to willingly taking a selfie; or just rhetorically asking what's wrong with the people who voted for the living embodiment of Jerry Lewis's "Helmut Doork" character as President?

Either way.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

So, a guest at Mar-A-Lago over the weekend posted a picture of himself and the guy who carries the nuclear codes "football." Gave his name and everything. First off, that guy should no longer be carrying the football - shouldn't he say "No thank you - I can't take a picture with a random stranger while I'm carrying the nuclear codes"????

Was he on duty (meaning carrying the football) when the photos were taken? If so, that's dereliction of duty. He's off task. See: UCMJ.

If he just is admitting (claiming?) it, that's flat stupid and he'll be reassigned.

The nuclear codes carrier was on duty. Why else would he be there? He was in uniform. Guest guy posted the picture with him and included his name. Let me find the link.............

Looks like the post of Guest Guy and "Rick" has been removed. Heh.

Scott Baio says he will never shop at Nordstrom's again.

Reminds me of the Trumpies saying they'd boycott Hamilton.

I'm sure Broadway and Nordstrom's are sh-tting themselves they've lost the Medicaid redneck meth addict business. Could LVMH be next???!!!

I don't understand how that guy's at fault. This is as if at the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier the Marines are in trouble if the tourists snap their photos.

Near as I can tell dude is just doing his duty which is to carry around species death at all times, and some bozo outed his identity.

Not from FB they haven't. I don't even have a FB account anymore, and I can still see them, along with the conspicuous briefcase that "Rick" is carrying.

Good job, doofus.

We're in the internet age. Direct-to-consumer is the new hotness.

We're in the internet age. Direct-to-consumer is the new hotness.

There will always be luxury stores where the rich like to be seen.

I mean until we slaughter them all in 2028.

But keep that under your hat.

Outed his identity?

The guy follows the President around like a puppy. He's wandering around a party at Mar-a-Lago.

Think maybe he got outed here too? C'mon, you guys are smarter than this. Focus.

Re: POTUS 45.4 - What's a Battle?

Careful with that ax, Eugene.

So spaketh one of Trump's white supremacist friends. Move over Chris Christie, a smaller dog's movin' in...

The best line in the article is at the end:

Three weeks. It's been three weeks, and the White House team is already at each other's throats. In a month they'll be hunting Sean Spicer for sport in the Rose Garden.

He could've been an off-duty guest (and required to be in uniform).

However, if he had the satchel and was posing, he's toast. I see a disfavorable duty station in his immediate future.

The running back's* identity is not in question.
They (the RBs) are in full military uniform, including rank insignia and name badge. Not a lot of mystery there.

However, if the guy is doing selfies with the President's party guests, is he on task and fully attending his watch station? Per UCMJ I'd say ... no. That's the problem.

*That's what you call the guy that carries the football, right?

Also, you know, this:

The existence of the nuclear football isn't classified. Still, the pictures raise questions about the access enjoyed by Mar-a-Lago members, who have seen their annual membership fee double to $200,000 since Trump won the presidency.

Surely those extra membership fees are being passed along to the Secret Service and DHS to pay for the costs of checking all those people who have access to the President and his retreat/resort.

The lies never stop.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/13/...quote-gop.html?smid=fb-nytimes&smtyp=cur&_r=0

In a tweet celebrating the Feb. 12 birthday of Abraham Lincoln, the Republican National Committee attributed a short quote to the 16th U.S. president. It was an uncontroversial maxim, if ever there was one.

“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count,” it said. “It’s the life in your years.”

There is no documentation of Lincoln uttering these words, according to James Cornelius, curator of the Lincoln Collection at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
