Russia is attached to Syria which is attached to Iran. So, why we'd be cozying up to Russia is beyond me. I thought Israel was our greatest ally in the Middle East. By sucking off Russia that's a direct attack at Israel cause it sucks up to Iran.
Syria is now gone and will be in Iran's pocket. That's bad for the Middle East.

The big deal is to basically let Russia have their way in Syria, leaving Assad in charge, while they in return limit Iran's influence and presence in that country. It's been the deal since before Red Don was elected. So Russia gets what they want, Israel and the Saudis get what they want, and the US cedes influence in the region to Russia. Just one more of the Great Negotiatior's wonderful deals.
But hey, TrumpCo keeps the Russian money flowing in, Red Don gets his Trump Tower Moscow, and the pee tape stays under wraps, so...…………….winning!!!

So Putin fabricated a story about Clinton right after meeting with Trump...you don't say. If there's true justice, this whole crazy episode in our history will end with Trump facing a firing squad.
