Reading up on the history of the SCOTUS....

What's funny is that back in the Jackson era, and the SCOTUS was expanded from 7 to 9, he actually nominated two people to the court on his last day in office. One was confirmed and the other turned it down.

We need a more democratic system, I think everyone left of Trump should be on board with that. I find it funny that republicans make all these cynical moves to consolidate power, even going as far as to accept foreign influence, and liberals keep going, "we should just play by the rules guys!".
