Re: POTUS 45.35: Still Winning. Don't care if you're tired of winning.

Oddly enough trix I share your concern of Dems playing by rules the GOP has long since abandoned. Reminds me of the idiotic "blue slip" rule for court appointments which the GOP ditched in a nanosecond once they had a Senate majority and a GOP Prez. Dems need more nutcutters and less people bound by traditions that the other side obliterated or will obliterate the first time it gets in their way.

Having said all that, Pelosi could just be paying lip service here to give Dems some cover running in swing districts or Chump won districts. She can say that all day as long as she doesn't constrain the party if/when they achieve a governing majority.
Agreed 100%

i hope macron and trudeau speak only french to each other when they are around trump, and regularly drop "mueller" in their conversation.

So say Trump invites the Caps to the White House and only Ovechkin, and Orlov, and Kuznetsov go ...

PS - A lot of Irish guys on that Caps team ... O'vechkin, O'rlov, O'shie, O'rpik ... :D

Like I said, just nibble around the edges, and then wonder why people throw them out of office for not getting anything done.

And wait!. The Blue Dogs all got thrown out of office? Quel surprise!

Why elect a Democrat who'll act like a Republican, when you can just vote for a Republican?

Re: POTUS 45.35: Still Winning. Don't care if you're tired of winning.

The only Republicans willing to speak truth to power are leaving office out of fear of being primaried. Mitt's running for office so he'll have his nose firmly up Trump's hindquarters

Mitt and Cruz can both go to hell. They're obsequious power-seekers who will kiss anyone's arse if it improves their odds of winning, or making a buck.

BREAKING: The Democratic National Committee adopted a new rule on Friday aimed at keeping outsider candidates like Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders from trying to win the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, by requiring candidates to run and serve as a Democrat.

Doesn't bug me at all.

Re: POTUS 45.35: Still Winning. Don't care if you're tired of winning.

In all seriousness, I agree as well. You wanna run for a party's nomination to any elected office? Then register as a member of that party. Otherwise, run as an independent.

This is on top of the other rule where you can't lose the primary vote total by 3.7 million votes too, right?
