Re: POTUS 45.34: Spy Gate. No Spy. No Gate.

So trump tweeted about the job numbers today before report was released, which breaks protocol.

I’m sure it won’t matter one bit. Not until a D is back in the White House

Re: POTUS 45.34: Spy Gate. No Spy. No Gate.

I saw a guy call a woman a "n-gger c-nt" to her face on the 4th of July at Fire Island in 1981. It was during the strike so we were all glad for the entertainment.

Ummmmm, what were you doing on Fire island? :o

The gay part of Fire Island (Cherry Grove) is one square mile of a beach that runs 30.

Trump's Department of Energy is going to directly insert themselves into the supply chain for electricity and force utilities to purchase coal and nuclear electricity from struggling power plants that would normally be forced into retirement.

Re: POTUS 45.34: Spy Gate. No Spy. No Gate.

Also, Trump (and not just "his administration") is now more formally using his position to "just ask the question" as to why Samantha Bee hasn't been fired from TBS for calling his feckless cu** of a daughter a "feckless cu**" on national television. Maybe it's because it's the truth?

But we so hate it when government picks winners and losers. Free Markets!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: POTUS 45.34: Spy Gate. No Spy. No Gate.

No surprise.

Fascists opposed both international socialism and free market capitalism, arguing that their views represented a third position. They claimed to provide a realistic economic alternative that was neither laissez-faire capitalism nor communism. They favored corporatism and class collaboration, believing that the existence of inequality and social hierarchy was beneficial (contrary to the views of socialists), while also arguing that the state had a role in mediating relations between classes (contrary to the views of liberal capitalists).

An important aspect of fascist economies was economic dirigism, meaning an economy where the government often subsidizes favorable companies and exerts strong directive influence over investment, as opposed to having a merely regulatory role. In general, fascist economies were based on private property and private initiative, but these were contingent upon service to the state.

Fascist governments encouraged the pursuit of private profit and offered many benefits to large businesses, but they demanded in return that all economic activity should serve the national interest.

I get whiplash just checking the news in the morning. Kudos to those with the time and ability to keep up on these news cycles.

Re: POTUS 45.34: Spy Gate. No Spy. No Gate.

So lemme be sure if I'm clear on this.

Governments subsidizing solar and wind power innovations so they could be more competitive in the market place is bad.

Government forcing electrical producers to buy more from nuclear and coal producers so they could be more competitive in the marketplace is good.

Am I missing anything?

Government offers G.I. bill benefits to attract young people to the army.

Government forcibly conscripts young people to the army.

Yeah... I see no difference at all.
