Um ... Reagan's third so no Bush 41 and I'm guessing that means no Bush 43. It'd all go wonky if not for A22.

Ike didn't have the ego to supercede Washington. Reagan and Clinton certainly did, but Reagan was already a doddering, drooling doorstop in 86, let alone 88, so he'd have had to be wheeled off to the Old Frauds' Home. Obama I am guessing would have started out wanting to step down but when he saw Dump as a threat would have stayed on and beaten him in about 40 states.

So let's say for simplicity everything's the same until 00:

00 Clinton. No 9/11 happens because the government is competent and paying attention.
04 Some hapless Republican, let's assume Dubya. The Great Recession still happens since Clinton hasn't hemmed in the Plutes.
08 Obama
12 Obama
16 Obama

And things are humming along with the Obama recovery right now but Mitch and Paul are happily thwarting his every action. The GOP dodged a bullet with Dump failing in 2016 but now an even more extreme racist and anti-Semite is building strength for 2020, perhaps with strong Dominionist overtones.

It’s not the quality of the sides as much as it is the system itself. Can’t we all agree someone like Trump should never come close to winning the presidency? Beyond that look at the the quagmire we are in financially. If we keep doing the same things we can’t expect different results.

these are all chicks too. how many in the military are female? whyn't there men spouses here?

You assume too much. There were plenty of warnings about this prior to 2001, and Clinton even had the chance to get Obama - arrest or kill, whichever, that he opted against pursuing. Also, there was no lack of terrorist activity against US properties during his eight years in office. It's just that none of them were to the scale of 9/11.

Also a note on the Novartis investment - may have paid off. Trump now breaking a big campaign promise by saying he won’t force price negotiations for Medicare drugs.

Big, beautiful health plans coming though!

Actually, more like: "I really don't support what the Nazis are doing, and I really wish we could all figure out some better way, but you gotta admit they're very good at what they are doing, and have every right to do it".

How were we in a quagmire financially? Debt to GDP ratio was about as low as it had ever been.

You know it's only gotten worse under Trump, right?

Dunno if it was mentioned here, but this goes along with the black girl at Yale, who fell asleep while studying in her dorm's common area, and another resident of the dorm called the cops on her, telling her she couldn't sleep there.
