“The Mueller investigation has dragged on for nearly a year at a cost of tens of millions of dollars without producing a shred of evidence of collusion—the matter it was tasked with investigating in the first place," he said in a statement. "I expect a valid progress report within the next 30 days or the investigation should be terminated."

Assuming that were the case, that doesn't mean he used campaign finance money. Everyone has taken Giuliani's words out of context in order to fit their narrative.

Whether the payments came from a specific bank account or not does not matter. What matters is if it was intended to help the campaign. Otherwise, people not technically part of a campaign just HAPPEN to pay for lots of things and the campaign could just HAPPEN to find a way to use it, thus defeating the entire point of whatever campaign finance rules we do have. Guiliani has said a) Trump did pay Cohen and b) it was done because that would be bad news for the campaign a month before the election; both of those are unambiguous and require no contextualization.

And if some unknown lawyer admitted some unknown client of his or hers committed a felony to the news media, said unknown client would probably be staring at an arrest, an indictment, something. That it is trump's lawyer speaking about trump's actions means nothing of the sort is coming from it. If trump was as smart as his rubes have been duped into believing, he would just admit everything and get it over with. Before trump world, politicians wanted to keep their illegal and unethical acts secret or sought to cover things up because they knew impeachment and/or resignation, or a forced exit from a campaign, or the torpedoing of one in its late stages, was usually the result of things that trump has been doing for decades coming to light. Not any more. He's not going to be indicted. He's not going to be impeached. He's not going anywhere until people vote him out of office. I hope all of you who may be subject to republican attempts at voter suppression are getting your ducks lined up in neat little rows, you got your IDs lined up, and you are prepared for those 6 hour waits at your polling place.
