The media? Good God, you mean the media that panders to false equivalencies between a dead civil rights protester and the white supremacist terrorists who murdered her? Between scientific knowledge and astro-turfed oil industry talking points? Between a sane and experienced ex-Secretary of State and a "senile rageaholic p-ssbaby moron"?

Obama was a dignified and circumspect president. He did not want to do anything that seemed partisan. Would that all presidents had his discretion. But he made a mistake allowing a gutter rat engage a bunch of Russian hoodlums to influence a US election, and this entire country, if not the world, will regret it for a generation, if not more. The mistake he made was overestimating the American people and assuming they simply could never elect the incompetent, incontinent piece of sh-t that now stains the White House.

Just because he's Trump? I will say undeserving if and only if he buys into the globalists' begging for a "comprehensive strategy" in the Middle East. Granted, I think Kim and Moon together would be more deserving in this case, but if the troops are coming home, it's definitely deserved, because that's something that hasn't been done in 17 years.

If the troops come home from South Korea I'll give a NPP to anybody you want. We didn't even withdraw from Germany after unification.

Personally, I'd give Dump a second term if he pulled up every American base by the roots and brought every troop home to stay. I'd even put up with The Heist for that.

We can < ahem > "reach out and touch someone" any time, any where, quite easily with current tech.

In today's world we don't need military physical presence everywhere. Intel assets, yes. Military, no.
However, with that I'll say we still need a strong navy, just in case.

So on the sentiment to bring the military back to CONUS (OK, plus AK and HI), I'm with you.

Hey, you want to bring them home? I'd be game with that. Aside from making Marilyn Hewson happy, why the hell are we still in all those places?

I also assume we're not counting ambassadors to keep foreign relations good? Or are you going total isolationist on us?

Our troops are there to protect our corporate interests. But those aren't our corporate interests anymore, they are the transnational 1%ers'. Let them pay for their Harkonnen occupiers in foreign parts; I'm through.

I'm all for the State Department and ambassadors up the yin yang. When we cut the DOD budget by 90%, I'm giving a third of that savings to DOS. The second third goes to NASA to develop FTL and get you and me away from each other. The final third goes to hookers and blow, so that part stays the same.

Sic: the navy's pretty much obsolete, too. Fifteen minutes after the next major war starts every surface ship in every fleet in the world will be at the bottom of the ocean.
