Schlapp is the classic case of the conservative liberals are told to sit down and listen to over and over again. That's who we're supposed to debate and negotiate with? What the **** kind of planet am I living on right now? Seriously. I want to know.

Factual error? Report it; call them out on it.

Don't like the policy? Report their policy as they claim it and let your Editorial Board and commentary pages dissect it, refute it.

My beef is the opinion (e.g. "advocacy journalism") tossed in as reporting.

I'd advocating what I've always been advocating, which is a scorched earth policy on all knuckledraggers and their enablers. Being polite to a sshats like this guy is what got us President Chump. Call out people like this and use false equivalence arguments to wipe your rear end after you've spend all weekend at a chili eating convention.

The call is coming from inside your own house.

That has been the SOP for the right for the past 25 years. That is all Fox "News" is. It's all the Washington Times is. There is no distinction between the editorial and news divisions in right leaning organizations anymore.

The left has some advocacy outlets like that (MSNBC I'm looking at you) but NYT and WaPo still maintain the firewall.

Schlapp tweeted he and his wife left the WHCD early because he was upset about what Wolf said. An MSNBC reporter tweeted later how Schlapp wasnt upset enough to not stick around for the after party ;)

Have you actually watched MSNBC? Yes, the prime time lineup leans left, but the morning show is hosted by a former GOP congressman and the daughter of a US general and a daytime show is hosted by Mrs Alan Greenspan. Progressive hosts have been eliminated from the airwaves. Ed Shultz wanted to cover tbe Bernie Sanders presidential campaign extensively but was told by his bosses that he couldn't, then he was removed. It has happened to other progressive voices over the years. Remember that the network is co-owned by a massive anti-consumer media giant and a defense contractor. Not exactly liberals.

Lets not forget, the Right wasnt outraged about every conservative (including their Whiner in Chief) ripped Obama personally for 8 years. He was a Muslim, he isnt American, he is a Comunist, his wife is a Gorilla...all of that was ok but this isnt.

Also funny, dont remember Maggie Newberg whining on Twitter about the abuse Michelle Obama took either. I am sure it is just a coincidence though...

To be fair Ed Shultz sucked. He was awful on the radio and even worse on TV. And trust me, I have met him he is an ego-maniacal d-bag. MSNBC was moronic for putting his bloviating, self congratulatory windbag a** on the air.

Thomas Homan, the Trump administration’s top immigration enforcement official, announced Monday that he plans to step down from his job, six months after Trump nominated him to be director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Homan was named ICE’s acting director soon after Trump took office in 2017, and the tough-talking, barrel-chested former Border Patrol agent quickly became an unapologetic enthusiast for the administration’s more aggressive enforcement approach.

Under Homan, immigration arrests surged 40 percent after agents scrapped an Obama administration policy of targeting serious or violent criminal offenders in favor of casting a wider net. Homan said those living illegally in the United States “should be afraid” that his agents could be coming for them.

The best firewall is at WSJ. One person's opinion of course.

Their articles and their op/ed page reads nothing alike. That does not ring as true for the others.

Kelly will be gone within a month or two, I think. Trump has already stopped listening to him.

Him and Keith Olbermann were both horrible, smug jackoffs, which explains why Schultz always subbed for Olbermann when he was out.
