POTUS 45.32: QAnon Will Help Show the Truth

Re: POTUS 45.32: QAnon Will Help Show the Truth

Joe Walsh had a good point. If anyone thinks Michelle should apologize for saying something mean, then dump should apologize for all the terrible things he’s said. **** hole African nations. Wanting to bang his daughter. Making fun of disabled people. On and on.

Re: POTUS 45.32: QAnon Will Help Show the Truth

If the worst of Wolf's comments directed at SHS was the whole smokey eye makeup thing, all these so-called journalists coming to her defense should be ashamed of themselves. That comment was mild at worst, and wasn't directed at what Sanders is, but what she does. And it was a fvcking joke, anyway. We've gone off the rails here, completely. Is this fallout from the me-too movement?

Apparently can't tell jokes anymore. *sigh*

This goes back to my attitude of "anyone who says they want to be treated like everyone else, then you will eventually get made fun of in a joke, just like everyone else."

Re: POTUS 45.32: QAnon Will Help Show the Truth

The White House Correspondents Dinner is a roast/stand up comedy show. It is never about advancing journalism or rebuilding stature. It is where a funny person is paid a lot of money to rip on the President, Congress and the media and they all sit there and laugh. The journalists are wrong. Their entire argument is BS because the Right doesnt need ammo to attack the liberal press and Michelle Wolf could have said ANYTHING negative and it would have been used.

But even so, the ones making it worse is the liberal press themselves. They are showing how spineless and full of it they are by poutraging along with the conservatives. They are making up strawmen and feigning compassion in the hopes that the people that hate them will hate them a little less. If they had one modicum of pride or (please media dont attack my misogyny) balls they would be actually be covering this with an even hand. That is of course their job, as the media. But since none of them have the integrity to you know, be a true Fourth Estate, and all of them need to make sure they seem balanced, they all act like the guilty person protecting the rest of the guilty.

As I read more I am praying that WaPo acted better than the clowns at the NYT did because if they are being a bunch of whiny High Schoolers about this I will cancel my sub.

The more I’ve thought about this today, the more I think you’re correct.

Well so far WaPo seems to be covering the dinner as a whole (and the snoozefest that it was) not poutraging about what Wolf said. They said she was mean and sometimes nasty, which is fair, but no accusations of anything else. We will see if that holds...

Sigh. Margaret Sullivan just published a piece for abolishing the dinner.

Re: POTUS 45.32: QAnon Will Help Show the Truth

Except the New York Times is the one propagating the rumor. The liberals are the problem here...

The NYT said there was nothing connecting Russia to the Trump Campaign days before the election and run specials on Nazis.

**** them.

I don't know what Mike is upset about. Michelle Wolf killed it at the dinner. It's like Michelle Wolf was his son and the dinner was a stray dog.

Nope, it's the MAGAts exposing that they are the real snowflakes, and some lefties virtue-signaling in a lame attempt to look "fair" because they are mad that Wolf also called them out and took no prisoners.

Re: POTUS 45.32: QAnon Will Help Show the Truth

W Kamau Bell's season premiere: comes out shooting. No holds barred on immigration things, ALL presidents. JFC.

Re: POTUS 45.32: QAnon Will Help Show the Truth

Oh agreed. Handy had commented before on seeing if the WaPo published criticisms like this so I was tracking

They are also attacking the outrage as well.

Some Sanity

Wolf faced particular criticism for (besides all that sex stuff) her satire of Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who apparently was a profile in courage for sitting still with pursed lips while someone told jokes about her — “to her face!” These commentators spun the strange narrative that Wolf went after Sanders for her appearance, when in reality Wolf’s barbs centered on the press secretary’s falsehood-filled performance on the White House podium.

“She burns facts, and then she uses the ash to create a perfect smoky eye,” Wolff said of Sanders. Correct, on both counts — and many would rejoice at such an endorsement of their eye makeup. Callous attacks on women for their looks, even after Saturday night, still belong to the president who refused to attend Saturday night’s event — not to the comedian who skewered his cohorts.

All the same, countless journalists rallied behind Sanders, the same woman who spends her days lying to them. And that says a lot more about them than it does about Wolf’s routine. Everyone who told Wolf to read the room is missing the point: The room, and the misplaced notion of a “special” night to celebrate the “special” relationship between the press and the presidency that brought everyone to it on Saturday, is precisely the problem.

Re: POTUS 45.32: QAnon Will Help Show the Truth

Poor Snowflake at the Times had a pretty sad Twitter feud with Kumail Nanjiani:

That @PressSec sat and absorbed intense criticism of her physical appearance, her job performance, and so forth, instead of walking out, on national television, was impressive.
— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) April 29, 2018

They call you liars. They call Mexicans rapists. They call Muslims murderers. They support white supremacists. But someone calls them out on what they do, & suddenly they’re heroes for not walking out. https://t.co/B9aT7moy2C
— Kumail Nanjiani (@kumailn) April 29, 2018

Please quote the exact line that intensely criticized her appearance. You’re a journalist.

Hadn’t you unfollowed me first? I just try to winnow what comes into the mentions.

Have a good one as well. Truly. You have an essential job. So she creates the controversy by Trumping about some attack on Sanders then cant take it when people call her out on her lies and has to pretend she has other things to do. I am sure next the Times will blame it on Clinton...

Re: POTUS 45.32: QAnon Will Help Show the Truth

Just think if the press had actually defended Hillary once in a while like they're defending Colonel Huckleberry Sanders. Or, spent as much time attacking Trump as they are attacking Michelle Wolf.

What a bunch of ****ing hypocrites.

Re: POTUS 45.32: QAnon Will Help Show the Truth

Really like how the lamestream media is getting an a ssbeating over their WHCD pearl clutching. What a bunch of clueless jack ***es. I'd also like to disagree with the usual on target Handy. The NYT hasn't been a liberal paper for a long, long time. They're either cowards (most likely) or shills for a brand of corporate stiff Republicanism that died awhile ago.
