The Donald Trump / Stormy Daniels sex tape hits the internet. Assuming you can click on a link to watch it with relative security, as free from viruses or other malware as you can be as if you were watching it on say, Youtube. Do you watch it? Remember, you don't get to "un-see" it.

I was actually a little surprised at the results of our poll of the six members of our lunch group.

This is pretty funny. It's exactly the responses we had around the table at lunch yesterday. Except for mookie's. The guy with the asian fetish had a construction bid he had to work on yesterday. :p

One of the reasons I am as pessimistic as I am sometimes about our species is demonstrated time and again by trump supporters. I don't know if it is stubbornness, stupidity, that they are hopelessly naive, but something about his supporters, a quite sizable minority of the nation, makes me think we haven't got a chance. If 3/4ths of your roof is in tip-top shape but a quarter of it leaks, guess what, the inside of your house is still gonna be drenched, mold will be everywhere and most of your belongings will be ruined. Can we really grow, improve and succeed if so many are so stupid or gullible? How do you overcome the fact that every third person you see believes so many things that are completely false? Seriously, I'm asking this question. How?

I don't know who Chyna is, but Erin Andrews was -- for all intents and purposes -- assaulted. The hotel room video of her was done without her knowledge and so totally against her will. I have never watched it and never would. She's innocent and doesn't deserve to we watched like that. But trump and a porn actress is a little different. A lot different actually.



*eta* Which doesn't mean I think anybody SHOULD watch it. By all means don't if you don't want to. I just think something voluntarily made by someone paid to be photographed having sex is different than somebody photographed illegally and without their knowledge.

If Dump paid for a whore and she secretly recorded it and put it out there, Dump would be an innocent victim too.

He's a piece of sh-t, but we don't protect people based on their deservingness, we protect everyone equally. That's what separates us from conservatives.

I get the point but I believe it also misses the point that if trump banged a porn actress and it was video'd, he knew it was being video'd and he probably isn't smart enough to care if it sees the light of day (although I suppose if he truly isn't smart enough, he cannot form the requisite intent). And besides, bad things should happen to bad people. If that makes me a "conservative" sign me up.

Oh, bad things absolutely should happen to bad people, so you and I need to break into Dump's vault and publish all this crap. But that's revenge, not justice, and the legal system isn't in the business of the former.
