POTUS 45.3 - Bowling Green Massacre Memorial Thread

Re: POTUS 45.3 - Bowling Green Massacre Memorial Thread

Trump has never "run" anything is his life. He's the poster child for a 99% estate tax on the wealthy. "Malevolence tempered by ineptitude."

He got a lot of people to believe the former. Clinton and the Dems did a horrible job attacking that or people just didn't want to listen. I think they just didn't want to listen. We actually had posters on here minimizing the control Republicans have in the country right now. Quite startling really. They control just about everything.

Oh, and the Republicans silence on Trump right now is deafening. It's clear he's not qualified and most of the people he's hiring aren't qualified to run a T-Ball team never the less the country.

This is what happens when a bunch of racist f-cksticks in Pennsyltucky get to pick the president.

Re: POTUS 45.3 - Bowling Green Massacre Memorial Thread

What's the point in putting these Trump people on TV when all they say is, "you'll have to ask him" when asked about Trump's thoughts on subjects? That's the whole reason you're on...

I was a little stunned that there was a coherent White House spokesperson on yesterday who could answer a policy question by citing law. I don't think George Snuffleupagus* expected it.

*Like anyone can spell that guy's name ...

Re: POTUS 45.3 - Bowling Green Massacre Memorial Thread

Stephen Miller thinks that the President's powers on immigration is unchecked. He got eviscerated this morning on Morning Joe for saying that.

Sebastian Gorka said the same thing this morning on Morning Edition- even claiming that the problem is Checks and Balances. Since he like to hear himself speak, they could never interrupt his claims. The guy is a total tool. Starts out by claiming ignorance of the whole situation about what is going to happen, and then goes and lambastes the courts, and then goes back to saying he's not part of that loop. All the while never answering a question- just saying what he wants.

BTW, they are backing their claim that since 9/11 there as been something like 72 terrorist arrests in the US from people of these countries. Not sure of the numbers, nor the impact of the previous administration wanting better vetting from those countries. Seems like the latter would be a good solution, as opposed to cutting all flow off.

What's funny is that people buy their claim that we are going to be just like Europe in the flow of refugees, and that flow will bring terrorists. Not actually realizing that the ONLY way to get from Europe to here is via ship or plane- which requires a visa. We have FAR better control of refugees from the area than the EU does. Now if they want to take the path through Central America, then the travel ban will also have no effect on that.

Basically, the ban does nothing more effective. Other than convincing people that government is inept (you may choose your method of chosen ineptness).

At least any old white guy. I suspect the result would have been the same with any woman or non-Obama minority male.

If Corey Booker made it out of the convention and Mr. Obama stood next to him and anointed him Booker would've won.
But, I suspect Sen Booker befell the same fate as Sen Sanders with the DNC and DWS.

Obama had already done extreme vetting. It's a joke that Obama protected the country and he gets no credit and a moron gets elected saying he didn't.

Re: POTUS 45.3 - Bowling Green Massacre Memorial Thread

Are you still pushing this narrative? You could say she didn't win by more because of Texas and SEC country.

Trump won by less than the capacity of Van Andel in Michigan. 27k in WI and 70k in PA. Do you really believe that ~110k people speak more for America than the 2.9 million others?

But those are the rules.

You don't win the Stanley Cup because you won one game by 7 goals. You have to win 4 games.

Don't like the current rules? Change them. See: Article V of the US Constitution.

Based on what evidence? People keep repeating this, but he COULDN'T EVEN BEAT HILLARY! He had horrible support from minorities the whole primary season. He is a politician, so he wasn't pulling in the "let's try something new" crowd. He's a jew, so the nazi's weren't flipping. He's more liberal than Hillary so he wasn't pulling in more from the center. Stopping Trump wasn't enough motivation to get people out to vote in enough numbers. There is nothing based on actual data that says he would have done better than Hillary. He may have brought in some more votes from the far left, but I don't see anything that says he wouldn't have lost votes from other areas. Face it, the ****tards who voted for Trump decided the election.

Bernie could have pulled out the rust belt states I think, where he did well in the primary, and he still would have won the solid blue states.

Yes, yes those are the rules. Also, saying she won the popular vote and lost by very little does not acknowledge the overwhelming majorities the Republicans hold.

Depends upon whether Trump's Russian campaign office had anything on Bernie.

I would love to see them changed, but given Michigan's current house structure the National Compact wouldn't pass here.

Re: POTUS 45.3 - Bowling Green Massacre Memorial Thread

"Whatsa behind me is not important." Forget '16. We've got two years to take hang Trump's bloated carcass around the GOP's neck. Run against Trump in every district: "elect a representative who will responsibly check this troll's excesses."

The GOP has already proven it's too cowardly to stand up against the Mental Mustard Messiah. Run every race down to dog catcher as a referendum on King Donald I.

That's what should be very disturbing to anyone that doesn't like one-party rule. Then again, the Rs seem fractured and have never done well in power. (They seem best suited to be the opposition party.)

This concept should have the Ds asking ... "Was it Hillary?"
Honestly, Hillary may have been the final victim of it.

Re: POTUS 45.3 - Bowling Green Massacre Memorial Thread

And now a moment of clarity and sanity ... from Mel Brooks: " ... excuse me while I whip this out."

"I’m not afraid of him, I don’t think he’s dangerous. I think he’s mostly an entertainer, a guy who wants audiences to love him. ... What I’m afraid of is all the guys around him, all the people who whisper in his ears, like the people who whispered in George W Bush’s ears and we got the Iraq War.

“I just hope Trump stays the egomaniac he is, listens to no-one and then we will all be safe. But if he believes these guys we are all in trouble.”

Trump's an egomaniac and tiger's don't change their stripes.

Nobody should be afraid of Trump himself, he's just a toddler. We should be afraid that the GOP for political advantage is not standing up to him. They're cynics and cowards, and their short term thinking is what is putting democracy at risk.

In what universe is it ok to not only force him to open his phone but (according to Homeland Security) force them to give passwords up for online accounts? Small government my ***!

The Dems said it hourly...people didnt care. They dont even care he never pays taxes or has declared Bankruptcy as many times as he has been married. He was on TV and his name is branded on everything so he must be bigly smart!

That's as big as Government gets. The Republicans have always been liars on that front. And, they get away with it. It is amazing what is actually true and what the American people actually believe. Anyone who saw John Oliver's piece last night shouldn't have been laughing. What they should have been doing is crying.
