As Sic would say, I’m just asking the question...are we sure obama didn’t order him to beat his wife?

Well, we can't be sure. I think an investigation needs to be done. The Repubs in the House should get right on that.

Papadopoulos' Fiancee: He's going to sing like a canary after his sentencing.

Also an interesting tidbit from the article:
Mangiante first got to know Mifsud when she worked as a legal adviser to the European Parliament, and he recruited her.

"He was interested to hire young people with political connections," she says, "to have access to their networks."

She says she worked in Mifsud's London office for about three months, but to this day, she does not understand what she was supposed to do at the office. There was "no work agenda," she says, and the office consisted of a single table and a rotating group of people working on their own laptops.

At one point, she says, she was asked to attend a "secret symposium" on Iraq, but the organizers would not tell her key details, like who else would be attending. She received a plane ticket, but decided not to go, given the secrecy.
For nearly a year, Mangiante says her experience with Mifsud remained a bit of a mystery. But now that the U.S. government alleges that Mifsud had connections to the Russian government, she says "it makes sense."

Sicatoka should be outraged, seeing how he cares about security so much, and all.

The government is 700,000 clearances behind right now. (Heard that little snippet on the radio this morning.)

Either we require clearances for too many jobs or we're inept.

Dump supporter represents.

Aaaah, America. Tear down the statue.

On another note. Can anyone figure out why security clearance isn't needed in this White House yet at the same time they went bananas over EMAILZ? I can't square it.

Seriously...Mr. "Security is My Main Concern" now wonders if we are requiring clearance on too many jobs? That is some serious spin jobbing...

And no WE are not inept...the GOP and their supporters surely are though. They are the ones not filling jobs, they are the ones slowing everything down.

Maybe you should go back to worrying about the impending EMP attack

Hey, cool. I'm livin' rent free in your head now. Lots of space, but kind of cold.

No you really arent. See you post on a message board so we are reminded of the thoughts you have whenever we open the thread. I mean sure you can pretend that means you are somehow winning (sort of like a President who does things you hate but never quite rip) but in reality it just shows that many of your posts are just ridiculous.

I will say it again, you arent nearly as clever as you think you are.

Can't have it both ways Handy: How are we 700k behind if the jobs aren't being filled? They don't start a clearance until they pick someone to hire.

Now, how did we get 700k behind? What jobs are we now requiring it for? Are they saying "clearance" when they mean background check for a TSA screener? When I hear "clearance" I think access to C-NSI or C-RD or higher (and not just run of the mill NOFORN).

If only Mr. Sanders, or Mr. Biden (yes, life didn't do him favors), had been the Democrat candidate.

Heck, we'd have the same "budget*" deal ...

*I use that term loosely.

Not so sure of the former. The latter would have been an actual, rather than predicted landslide.

When I hear "clearance" in this context I think TS / TS-SCI. We have been running well behind in processing of clearances for decades, and it got much worse when the primary contractor (USIS, a privatized spinoff of OPM) lost their contract in 2014 because of general ineptitude and security vulnerability.

However, the idea that this affects White House staff is a transparent lie. They have an entirely different process. In fact the White House clearance process is considered so lax that other agencies will not accept crossover clearances from them -- personnel have to reapply and go through a real vetting process.
