Re: POTUS 45: 28 - Yo Memo So Stupid, Donald Renamed it "Eric"

Call me an optimist, but I had hope of enough economic growth to cover that $1.5T gap.

There's no way to cover this Friday night massacre.

So you just assumed that all the economists, even the supply side conservative ones who flat out said that was not even feasible, were all lying? The amount it was going to kill the dollar alone showed it wasnt possible but even the fake numbers Ryan and the GOPers through out there (and they were fake because they did the math using the wrong numbers) werent going to ever hit home and that was the most positive possible outcome.

Please tell me when you are doing your real work you actually do a bit more research before offering an opinion. A 5th grader could look at the tax cut and see it was a problem based solely on the numbers alone. (let alone the real world implications)

“Five, 10 years from now – different party. You’re going to have a worker’s party.” That was Donald Trump’s promise, shortly after he captured the Republican nomination for president. During his campaign, Trump made a habit of attacking traditional Republican positions on social insurance, promising to speak for “people that haven’t had a real wage increase in 18 years, that are angry.”

One year after Trump’s inauguration, not only is the Republican Party not a “worker’s party,” but it has done more than any administration in recent history to undermine public goods, support entrenched wealth, and allow businesses to operate untrammeled by accountability or regulation.

Think the idiots have figured it out yet? I doubt it.

Boy, it sure would be nice to have all that money we spent on the tax cut and the military for a much needed stimulus when that happens. But, alas, no. People going to suffer and that's what we want, suffering.

Trump Wants to Replace Food Stamps for Impoverished Americans With Food Boxes to Save Money

The Trump administration wants to scrap food stamps for low-income Americans and replace them with boxes of non-perishable food items selected by the government, Politico reported Monday.

The proposal was touted by White House budget director Mick Mulvaney and included in the White House fiscal budget, released Monday. According to the administration, it could save the federal government $129 billion over the next decade.

Mulvaney compared the measure to start-up meal delivery company Blue Apron.

This Mulvaney guy who runs a lot of stuff for Trump is something else.

What are they referring to? (I mean what statement. I fully understand the cops' institutional racism. You only have to spend twenty minutes on the Cops thread to understand that. Or, you know, be non-white.)

The fact that the head of the DOJ said it with pride?

Anglo-American? Really? That's what the color blind institution is going with as it's bedrock. Come on people.

Link, please.

Never mind, got it.

God, he's a moron. All he needed to say was "common law." But no, he had to throw a little racial dust in because that's how these Birchers roll.

One good month does not a year make, much less a trend, but it's a start.
https://www.cnsnews.com/news/articl...d-taxes-first-month-under-tax-cut-run-surplus

Then again, per the article, January is historically a good month.
I'm guess a post-holidays revenue bump effect, and quarterly estimated filings (for year end).

So the question becomes: What'll February numbers show.

Trump Wants to Replace Food Stamps for Impoverished Americans With Food Boxes to Save Money

Would the fraud savings (using WIC/SNAP cards for non-food, which is very low fraud when you look at the data) be cancelled out by wasted (spoiled) food that didn't get to people? And food boxes sound like lots of new logistics.

The shipping costs alone will bankrupt the entire system.

Re: POTUS 45: 28 - Yo Memo So Stupid, Donald Renamed it "Eric"

Bye Bye CFPB.

From Elizabeth Warren's Facebook.

The big banks and payday lenders that funded Mick Mulvaney's campaigns are doing cartwheels over the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's new strategic plan. Mulvaney wants the agency to stand up for big banks and scammers instead of holding them accountable when they cheat consumers.

Here's the article she's referencing.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ng-enforcement-powers/?utm_term=.06e85028ca69

Hope everyone enjoys getting screwed by big banks. Like all of us at my age have.
