POTUS 45:27 - Whites and Pink Starbursts Inquire Within

So if we go by your logic, anyone who has ever printed a retraction since the beginning of time should never be trusted. Even with your logic, that's just insane. Plus, I've never stated that I believe everything Infowars puts out. That's as simple minded as the logic of which you're trying to convince me. I've called out on several different occasions when they get it wrong.

As for the memo, how do you know that's not the memo everyone's referencing? When they say "Release the memo", how do you know they're not referring to the redacted portions?

Fine. Show me Alex' retraction.

And you know damm well that's not the memo they're talking about. For one, this thing isn't a memo.

Not sure how that helps the arts at all. Maybe Soros or that whacko running ads on CNN will give them a big donation.
I would equate this as a great big whoooooooosh on your part.
This is an international museum. They, and most of Europe, have no use for tRump. They consider him a boor. They aren't playing to CNN or Soros (really, are you a believer of that nonsense?). THey could care less about them. The Guggenheim is way bigger than that. This was a brilliant response. Without saying anything to the point they showed their opinion of him. Applause is necessary.

He's given plenty of clarifications on the air. It's not a retraction. Plus, that is the official wording they use for memorandum in that line. You're the one blowing it out of proportion.

Think of who donates money to those museums. Educated, wealthy, urban... ring a bell?

A museum could do worse than give Dump a giant public middle finger.

Anybody else -- anybody: Reagan, Nixon, Dubya -- I'd object to this as showing contempt for the office. But there is nothing more contemptuous than the temporary, quite possibly criminal, connection of this putrescent tub of onychomycosis with our highest office.

I'll allow it.

The problem is people like Drew think the arts aren’t important because you probably won’t make a living doing it and so the museum must be poor.

And Kepler makes a good point as well, museums should be giving republicans a middle finger for obvious reasons.

You probably won't make a living doing it. But, the arts are important overall.

No one should be concerned with "showing contempt for the office". Dump has already done that himself, several times over. So fck him.

Re: POTUS 45:27 - Whites and Pink Starbursts Inquire Within

I found a consolation. At least we only have a half dozen Dumps. Imagine thousands.

The crowd you're thinking about are more members or small donors, there is more of a split between liberals and conservatives with the people who donate the serious money. I think the statement is divisive, unnecessary, and classless. The Guggenheim is too great of place to get dragged down in the mud on this.

As someone who truly loves the arts its very discouraging to see this stuff.

Interesting take. My take is the current administration is in full on assault mode on a number of levels to the values that the general European population has. They have insulted every country in the EU collectively and singularly. Art is an expression of culture. I don't think they were dragged down into the mud at all. I think they answered with the dry humor that many Europeans have. It was classic tongue in cheek, thumb your nose. Having lived over in the UK, having relatives that live there and being raised by another set one generation removed must warp me. I thought it was a brilliant way to express displeasure and disdain for someone who persistently behaves in a classless manner.

You can't put lipstick on a pig.

Air Force One to get two new refrigerators. At the bargain price of $24 million.

$4,000 for the fridges. $500,000 for labor and mods to AF1. $23,496,000 for line item contract overhead.

Blame the contracting officer who wrote the contract.
