Re: POTUS 45:26 - One million tweets DC!

How bad would the fallout be in Minnesota if he took out Chicago, Seattle, or LA?

The NorKs want damage and dead people, so LA would be the spot. We might have a slight glow about us, but nothing an extra appendage couldn't solve.

If the NorKs were logical, like the Soviets were (we assumed), they'd target our missile silos in Montana and the Plains States. That's when we'd be in trouble.

Re: POTUS 45:26 - One million tweets DC!

This is exactly where the left fails to understand. They've never understood why the poor and middle-class, rural, white voters are willing to do the bidding of the 1%. Oh, you go to Kansas and write books about it, but until you've actually lived it I don't think it gets understood.

They don't want the 1% destroyed or burned to the ground, even though they know that they're pretty much living under the thumb of them. There is a mutual support system. It's really no different than a feudal system. The sharecropper works under the thumb of the plantation owner and lives on whatever scraps are thrown to him. But the plantation owner provides protection. The plantation owner can't be destroyed, because when he is destroyed then so are we. To the right we see the plantation owner. To the left we see slaves. We sure don't want to be slaves. But we can aspire to be plantation owners.

You and I know that other than a few limited exceptions, the sharecropper never becomes the plantation owner. But that doesn't stop them from hoping to be.

North Dakotans didn't want the Minneapolis grain mills burned to the ground. They just wanted a little bit fairer deal. We needed the grain mills, and they needed us.

That is certainly a good way to think about it, yes.

Re: POTUS 45:26 - One million tweets DC!

Then how about *YOU* push for your senators to start busting them up like Standard Oil and AT&T was?

AT&T has an even larger stranglehold than it did when it first got broken up.

Oh, right, R's protect the corporations, masquerading as "consumer choice." Hard to choose when the selection is limited.

Note to self: Chuck Schumer and Kristin Gillibrand, my senators that I would contact because they are my representation, are now supposedly Republicans...

Horse hockey.

My dad is from small town Iowa, my mom is from Omaha, and I've lived in either Omaha or Des Moines for about 3/4ths of my life. I am as Midwestern as they come. And what you're selling is grade A hogwash. Poor rural white voters vote Republican because Republicans give them a scapegoat for their lot in life: everyone else. It's not their fault they're stuck in the middle of no where. It's the blacks' fault, or dem gays, or those urban hipsters who somehow have more stuff at the age of 25 than the common clay of the new west does at age 50.

The rural kids with ability end up moving to the cities like my dad and his brothers did.

It's not a lack of understanding, it's a lack of caring. When you have heavily subsidized farmers complaining about welfare, Medicare and social security recipients complaining about socialism, and otherwise getting given the Mike Rowe-esque "blue collar good, white collar bad" spiel for the 100th time, you stop trying.

And the left has been doing just fine for the last year in elections, btw. So either we suddenly understand rural America more, or maybe that was always a meaningless platitude and the difference is simply in getting voters to turn out.

that's why we have subs.

NK doesn't have enough firepower to take out our ability to retaliate even if they strike first. The only reason they have nukes is bargaining power and so Kim doesn't end up on the bad end of a U.S. initiated 'regime change'. If it comes to it, they'll want to take out as many Americans as they can because they know launching a nuke means the end of NK. That means LA is the likely target. They won't bother targeting missile silos because they can never take them all out.

“Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency,” Mr. Trump said in the statement. “When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind.”

Are there still two sides, Donnie?

SJHovey also believes that daylight savings time is a benefit to farmers and to ensure schools kids have daylight waiting for the bus.

you must be proud of your man in the Whitehouse!

(you can claim you don't support the orange taint, but as long as you still call yourself a Republican you are okay belonging to a party that would elevate this man to our highest office and forever taint the office of the president)

The country elevated tD

Certainly not a single minority party

I don't believe NK has the ability to dependably reach a target farther than Seoul. They'd probably have trouble targeting Busan, let alone Guam. LA? Yeah, forget that.

This is all such utter nonsense. NK has nukes so that if we ever tried to Iraq them they would detonate them right there in NK, killing as many of the invaders as possible. They have no knowledge and no skill, they've just gotten hold of some stray Soviet or early PRC weapons. These guys don't have the scientific infrastructure to support three crop rotation. They can't handle Nitrogen, let alone Plutonium. The exaggeration of their threat is part of our desperate search for a new Big Bad since 1989.

if they can't reliably hit LA now, it's only a matter of time:

Re: POTUS 45:26 - One million tweets DC!

Bannon says Trump meeting with Russian lawyer was "treasonous".

Trump administration says Bannon has "lost his mind".

I say, "Why not both?" :D

Re: POTUS 45:26 - One million tweets DC!

This could get good if the republicans manage to fracture their party into three. Bannonites, Trumpers, and Country Club.

Remember on November 7th when we thought the Republican Party was being torn apart? Then remember the 9th when the they looked as strong as ever? Unified and powerful?

How quick the honeymoon phase goes. Obviously the last year was a complete white wash of the systemic problems facing that party. They painted over the failing foundation and now it’s going to come back to bite them.

If Democrats were smart, they would throw gas on this fire or stay the hell away from it. I’d prefer to let them be. Never stop an enemy from destroying himself.

This is exactly the attitude that Trump was able to capitalize on. I'm better than you because I (or my forefathers) managed to escape. Those of you with no ability? Too bad. You'll be left behind.

And you wonder why people were willing to vote for Trump, and not your candidate? Go ahead, keep telling yourself they were all racists.
