Expect this to embolden them to start chirping "entitlement reform".

Why? They'll claim they're being "debt hawks". No, they're just trying to balance lower revenues after the fact.

The Ds had the trifecta a couple times, and nada. (See Kep's prior post.)

And I'll disagree: the Rs have no clue how to be the majority. Look at this current feces fest. They barely got something through holding the trifecta. But yes, they are highly adept at being the minority party (and there is some irony in there somewhere).

It's not that they don't know how to be the majority. It's that what they've done to get their majorities has created a monster that can't be controlled--except of course when there's a massive giveaway involved.

They got everything they wanted in one bill. The Tax Cut and the Destruction of Obamacare. Obamacare is dead with this legislation. Dead. Also, regulations are being whacked everywhere. That's 3rd on their list. The only thing they don't have now is caps on entitlement growth.

That's a problem for the Ds also. When they had the House their "party" seemed more "coalition" with the Cong. Black Caucus, the Blue Dogs, the Hispanic Caucus, the union focused folks, et al. It's tough to keep those interests all aligned and it hindered them.

That's the $500 question. There are three possibilities that I see:

1. The Dems are part of The Heist. The parties are two sides to the same coin: the GOP mobilizes the rubes and the Dems distract the educated. But the two parties are actually the same machine used by the plutes to defy democracy and exploit the serfs.

2. The Dems are not part of The Heist but a sufficient number of Dem Members are corrupted that we can't back it out. The Dems actually do mean their platform and want to work for economic justice, but they are betrayed by a fifth column that has been paid off by the donor class to thwart Dem policy formation and execution.

3. The Dems are so scared of raising taxes and defying the plutes that they are too cowardly to act on their principles. They are paralyzed by fear. They have the best intentions and they are honest, but they are a beaten dog.

I say the answer is about "1.4", meaning somewhere between 1 and 2 but a touch closer to 1.

Can no one remember all the way back to 2013 when taxes went up, primarily on the wealthy? The Ds aren't going to go overnight to what a lot of us would want, but they aren't afraid of movement in the right direction.

The Dems just listen to their donors right now unfortunately, at least they did until Hillary lost because the voters wised up to that fact and didn't vote this time around. We are seeing some changes now though.

Just take this guy's words and substitute "Jew" for "Muslim." It could be the Nuremburg Laws.

They aren't even trying to hide it anymore.
