I could see a possible argument for this, but it's pretty round-a-bout:
Eliminate the deduction and it'll motivate people to not take on the debt or be more efficient in schooling and type of school (U vs. comm coll) and maybe cause schools to curb the ever increasing costs.

However, that said, it ain't happening.
Kids take on the debt not thinking about future tax impacts much less how they'll actually pay off the debt.

The only thing that's going to curb the cost of college is if the government stops spending a whole bunch of money to subsidize it. The universities found a sucker.

Well lets see, I am Jewish, took ****ed near a decade of Jewish studies, grandson of a Rabbi and taught Hebrew School. What are the chances I know more about this subject than you North Dakota Boy? ;)

Just so you dont break your arm trying to pat yourself over the hump in your back...there is more to Jewish texts than just the Tanakh. Seeing as this isnt a World Religions Class though I will just say your knowledge of Judaism is about on par with most people's knowledge of Islam. :)

(we dont need books written hundreds of years later to have the tale be part of the canon...cause those stories are the foundation of the flipping religion and it was actually us there unlike Xtians who just steal the best bits of everyones stories and Frankenstein a religion out of it :D )

Well I saw something earlier in the week that laid out the tax cuts as growth in after tax income. Those making a million or more(or whatever the cutoff was they used) will see their after tax income grow by 14%. Those around $150,000 will see growth of around 2% or something. The lowest bracket will be something like .2%.

Tell you what, I'll be fully behind this tax bill if it increases the 1% after tax income .2%, while the bottom grows at 14%, and the middle somewhere innbetween, like say, 10?

Never gonna happen though.

There's zero reason aside from "that's what our billionaire donors told us to do" to eliminate the AMT or estate taxes. None of the does anything to spur the economy as most of the beneficiaries will just park the money overseas.

There is also a group called Jews for Christ. My father's cousin was "one of them."

When you think about it (both your guy and the group I mention), like Kepler mentioned, Christ never set out to form a new religion. And of course he was Jewish. He wanted Jews to see things in a different light. So, his original followers were essentially Jews for Christ. If I'm not mistaken, I don't believe the term Christianity was coined until a few hundred years after Christ's death.

And touching upon what Kepler said about Islam, if you ever go to the tombs of Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob and Leah (Cave of the Patriarchs) in Hebron in the West Bank (I've been there), they are all covered with Arabic, not Hebrew writing. The Muslims have "claimed" that landmark, but more importantly, they consider the founding fathers/mothers of Judaism to be their founding fathers/mothers, because they consider them to be the founders of monotheism.

We all honor the same people and pray to the same God, but we still manage to f--- up the world in doing so...

The Republicans OWN ad that I see on my TV every day says I would get 1200 cut from my taxes. Whoop Dee Doo. That changes nothing and it blow a hole in the deficit. That's not a Middle Class Tax Cut, it's a giveaway to the rich.

Yeah I remember when Jesse did that...I got my check and was happy. Then things went to crap because our surplus was gone. Never again.
