How much Infowars speculation and innuendo are you able to handle?

Infowars doesnt dig deep enough. They are actually part of the conspiracy that is put out there to try and discredit the conspiracy theory because no one with an iq over single digits is stupid enough to believe anything they say.

IINM Breitbart actually says this about Alex Jones.

One ounce of literacy and one gram of self-awareness and the entire far right would collapse.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders: "Now is not the time to talk about gun control."

Funny. It's never the time with these people.

Great article by Jason Furman in today's WSJ on the proposed tax cuts. I wish I could post it in here.

I'm happy to talk about it. I'd like to see an end to these events, but can't see where the things currently proposed will make any difference. The thing that has been pushed most by Bloomberg is background checks, and in pretty much all of these shootings the guns have gone through those.

Getting rid of semi auto rifles? It might help, but logistically would be a nightmare and what do you do with the people that don't obey? It's easy to say lock them up or whatever, but we have enough problems as is.

Another potential solution has been banning clips/mags over 10 rounds. This makes some sense in theory, but again I'd argue what do you do with all of the ones that are in circulation? I'm not sure how much actual effect it would have either. Someone who has a lot of skill handling a gun can do just as much damage with 10 rounders as 30 rounders.

I think the only way you ever could stop these would be to do some sort of serious buyback and ban. I don't see where this would ever gain much traction. It's hard where so many guns have been sold the last 10 years or so. Another thing to consider if we more or less banned guns is do we want the police to have more power? I certainly wouldn't want them to.

As long as Trump is president I can't see anything changing. Stranger things have happened but I would be completely shocked if he ever signed any gun control legislation.
