Trump supports that. But, he doesn't support what the kneel stood for and he's the reason they interlocked arms in the first place. I expect the interlocked arms to end after today. I also suspect the NFL will support teams that did not take the field during the anthem even though that is against NFL policy.

I'm beginning to think the Constitution of the United States of America is a myth. Cause no President could be this stupid.

I don't support kneeling for the anthem, but I'll defend their right to do it. I think there are better ways to help fix the issue they are protesting. It's become a domino effect that is now dividing people, rather than uniting them, which was part of the original issue, you know?

And I didn't know that coming out for the anthem was an NFL policy rule. If that's a rule, those teams should be fined. My first thought is it's a crappy rule, but if them's the rules.....

And if the teams ARE fined, it'd be a nice gesture by the NFL to donate the funds from those fines to causes that are relevant to the kneel.

I'm good with kneeling for the anthem. Civil disobedience is largely about breaking rules.

There has not been much discussion of Tommie Smith and John Carlos, which is a little surprising,

Something just occurred to me....

Since when did kneeling become a sign of disrespect? People kneel before deities, monarchs, graves, significant others to propose, Zod, etc....why is it disrespectful to do it in the presence of a flag?

It's not disrespect, but it is protest. The children among us believe that anyone who actually protests in any way involving symbols like the anthem or the flag is un-American. Because they're f-cking morons who missed the first thing about being an American.

You are embarrassing yourself. Jesus F-cking Christ, if the protest was not divisive well... there wouldn't be a NEED to protest. The whole point is behavior that far too many people excuse, justify, or even applaud is murdering innocent people.

Personally, I was sitting in my easy chair in my family room munching on a cold slice of pizza when they played the anthem before the game today.
