thus abortion, which they don't really give a **** about, is used to convince people to vote against their own interests so the GOP can funnel more money to the wealthy. Does Joe realize he's being used?
Remind me again which party you vote for...
I prefer a Tom Clancy solution. Failing that, morally responsible people would fit the bill.
Since everyone in political Washington is morally bankrupt, I'm not looking back when the brimstone falls.

An airliner killing all but about 12 people? How very Christian of you.
Well I'm not sure the more centrist/neoliberal Dems are looking to do anything about it.On the specific issue you cited there is a significant, substantive policy difference between the parties, with the one you vote for committed to the very thing you hate while the one you don't committed to trying to eradicate it.
That is an evasion. On the specific issue you cited there is a significant, substantive policy difference between the parties, with the one you vote for committed to the very thing you hate while the one you don't committed to trying to eradicate it. And yet you vote against your values.
People do that -- values rarely align perfectly with the parties. But to try to muddy the waters with "BSAB" is obfuscation and deflection. Why not say that in this instance your anti-abortion value more than cancels out your economic justice value? Why pretend that there is no difference between the parties and this drowns your preference on the latter?
After all, if there is really no difference then there is no reason for you to vote based on the former, either.

If joe really wants to reduce abortions, lifting women out of poverty may be the best way to do it.
They nibble around the edges. It's true that come the revolution they go to the wall along with Cheney, but in the meantime they are certainly the lesser of two evils.
Uh, so Schumer and Pelosi now cut a deal with Trump to pass DACA in exchange for increased funding for border security but excluding a wall.

Well, if you consider the European nations, not the 'up and coming nations' then look at our violence, general crime. Compared to most of Europe we are embarrassing. http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/profiles/United-States (this site is fascinating and somwehat depressing) It has comparisons for all sorts of dif things- stats on different crimes, age of adult responsibility, etc.Every other country isn't the US. Sometimes fortunately, sometimes not.
We are the greediest, most arrogant country on earth when it comes to the almighty dollar. Sometimes that is a good thing, and sometimes it isn't.
Edit: and our society, as a whole, is much different than much of the rest of the world. Look at violence, general crime, lack of revolutions (see: Venezuela or the African continent), etc.
It's very complex, unfortunately.

The metric system is better for science. But a foot can be divided by 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, and 1/6ths and come out with an even number of inches, that's the beauty of a base 12 system. 1/3 of a meter is .33333 meters, or 3.3333 decimeters, or 33.333 centimeters. 1/3 of a foot is 4 inches.
Fahrenheit is also better for every day living than Celsius; 0-100 in Fahrenheit encompasses most every day temperatures. 0-100 in Celsius covers the range of liquid water.
They better have that in blood. The blowback on Trump is going to make him fold like a cheap suit.
