POTUS 45.16 - If Never Forgotten, One Would ALWAYS Remember Something.

Re: POTUS 45.16 - If Never Forgotten, One Would ALWAYS Remember Something.

Stolen from Facebook last night:

"Why were tear gas, rubber bullets and water cannons used on Native Americans at Standing Rock but not on Nazis in Charlottesville?"

Now, of course this is simplistic...but it is a good question. There is plenty of video of what was done to the protesters...it was so ridiculous Veterans had to bus in and protect them. Meanwhile a bunch of Fascist wannabes with guns and torches march into town spewing hate and no one does anything. No matter what it looks horrid.

Meanwhile our President cant denounce these people because he used them to get elected (plus he probably cant spell Nazi) and has made them feel they have a legit voice since the Primaries. 30 years ago both sides would be denouncing this crap...now we have a National News Organization (Faux) victim blaming and defending. Good lord...

Always remember. It's ok as long as you're white and Christian.

That's the problem. There is no solution. There are too many people who would give these people power. We elected a Misogynist Racist and put him in the White House in 2016. This occurred after the experiences of World War II, the 60's, Antia Hill, and on and on and on.

To think we are arrogant enough to expect solutions and go to war for the same issues in another country while we can't even clean up our own mess. Arrogance doesn't even begin to describe it.

Not to mention there are pedos, drug dealers, and a hundred other types of 'deplorable' people(many I'm sure voted for Hillary.) I couldn't agree more with your larger point though, we have some seriously problems in this and it doesn't seem like any solutions are imminent.

But what is it about conservatives overall that is negative, even hostile towards other Americans - putting even our worst of enemies (Russia) in front of them. Listen to Fox, Hannity, Rush, Coulter, etc. Are they hate? Maybe, maybe not. But isn't pretty much their only agenda to be strictly negative and even harsh towards anyone on the left?

Nazi's are not conservatives, but apparently there's a fair amount of shared cloth there.

I think it's more about hating change and how good things were back in the day than anything else. In a lot of ways I think conservatives were ahead of the curve with that stuff as it seems liberals have now caught up. Even when Bush was president it didn't seem like there was anywhere close to the anger there is now.

There are around 330 million people in the country, don't you think there are a decent amount with some kind of whacky views? Let's not completely lose perspective on this. It's horrible what happened and we need to find some kind of solution to it, but doesn't mean all 100 million republicans/conservatives are awful people.

To you earlier comment, deplorable to me probably means something different than what it meant to you or anyone else. I took it more as an attack on rural folk(which I'm from a rural area) than solely white supremacists.

That has to be one of the dumbest things I've read. *** is possibly deplorable about rural folk!?!?!!

How can you possibly read that into the statement??

These nazis ARE the deplorables you stand behind.

Read that again.

These nazis ARE the deplorables you stand behind.

Geez

Parise, you're blind. Just blind.

DO NOT expand the denouncing of deplorables to those people. They are bad, and deranged for the Pedos.

But the deplorables want to take our county apart.

That's exactly what I think! I think we are wonderful folk and when she said it I was very irritated. Maybe she meant something different, but to me it was rural people she was talking about.

Well, she wasn't talking about them. Not at all. But because you folks are so Damm Sensitive and hate powerful women we have a Misogynist Racist in the White House. Congratulations.

But that doesn't explain conservatives narrative approach - strictly pretty much against liberals all the time.

Oh, yes it does. Christian Fundamentalism is just a as dangerous as Islamic Fundamentalism. It's time to call a spade a spade.

Fundamentalism is not based on religion. Its based on extremism. There are nationalistic extremists, political extremists and yes racial extremists. Blaming everyone white for white suprematism is quite wrong.

She was clearly referring to racists. The fact that there's a significant cross section of rural people doesn't mean that's what she was referring to.

I didn't blame all white people. I just reminded Whites and Christians that it's ok for them to be fundamentalists. Just not anyone else.

Re: POTUS 45.16 - If Never Forgotten, One Would ALWAYS Remember Something.

If anyone brings it up to me here at work, I plan on being right in their face.

Nazis do not get to be part of society. Mostly because their version of society isn't one.
I wouldn't. It's what they want you to do, and it can cost you your job.

The Nazi protesters in Virginia got exactly what they wanted. They scheduled a march to protest the removal of a statue most of them had never heard of before. They got themselves all dressed up in matching outfits like mommy used to make them wear to Six Flags. They threw their moms' citronella torches into their cars and they headed to Virginia.

They were praying a counter-protest group would confront them. That way they get to spout their nonsense and play the victim card. Plus, they get to beat someone up.

It is extraordinarily difficult to walk past someone spouting nonsense through a Mr. Microphone on a street corner, but that reaction is the one that bothers them most.

But you'll have to choose your own way.

I know. But broadly blaming whites is wrong, broadly blaming blacks is wrong and broadly blaming Christians is wrong. Extremism is to be blamed. And individuals (including our president) messing this up doesn't make this right.

The most powerful man in the World has given them comfort and cover. Pretty hard to put that genie back in the bottle.

Yeah. Top priority is to keep emotions out of the workplace. Making a fact based comment is not a problem. Participating in an emotional exchange can end up being a sentence.

Re: POTUS 45.16 - If Never Forgotten, One Would ALWAYS Remember Something.

BTW still waiting for all those people who ripped Obama for not calling it "Islamic Terrorism" to do the same thing about this. Our President first and foremost. It is pretty telling that the Neo-Nazi's embraced Trump's vague *** comments...

The thing is they are embracing it because it wasn't vague at all. There was a very specific shout out to the nazi's to remember our history thrown in there. Southern heritage and all... Stephen Miller knows how to get a message to his people.

On Meet the Press this weekend Joy Reid of MSNBC called Stephen Miller out and Rich Lowery of the National Review went ballistic. It's amazing how much cover these people have right now.
