Here's news from former conservative British MP @LouiseMensch
Arming and training rebels to fight against the Syrian government may not be the best course of action out there, but what other options were there?
Trumpy has one. End the program, and let Putin and Assad declare victory.

What has five years of fighting accomplished other than death and mayhem?
Once again, pointing out that many R's are happy to let our former foes, the russians, take more control over places that we would like to influence.
Instead of trying to get freedom and democracy, we will let them have whatever russia is selling.
Why???
Your stupid policies are giving the entire Pacific to China, and now you want to give the middle east to Russia? Are you serious? I guess we should focus on drilling on our own.
Do you think freedom and democracy have worked in either Afghanistan or Iraq? Someone in charge is better than no one in charge. Asia is a completely different story.
There is a zero percent chance Drew says any of this if Hillary is President. He would be parroting what Faux News would be saying about how she is "weak on Foreign Policy" and how she is abandoning innocent people to Assad's torture.

The double standard is real but good luck convincing anyone who doesn't already know that that it exists. It's all in the Deny Denial psyche of America. El Presidente' being King Denial Denier.
Wrong. I've been saying since the day things kicked off six or seven years ago that it was a mistake for us to get involved. The dictators are obviously horrible people, but it's better than anarchy and non stop war between the various factions.
On Wednesday, Donald Trump had an interview with the New York Times in which he said … everything. He threw attorney general and early Trump supporter Jefferson Sessions under the bus. Then drove the bus himself. He followed this up by accusing former FBI Director James Comey of attempted blackmail. And he put the cherry on top of the jaw-dropping hubris-a-thon by providing his own special red line for Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
Breaking News: Jeff Sessions said he'd stay on as attorney general "as long as that is appropriate" after President Donald J. Trump criticized him in an interview.
TRUMP: It was good. We are very close. It’s a tough — you know, health care. Look, Hillary Clinton worked eight years in the White House with her husband as president and having majorities and couldn’t get it done. Smart people, tough people — couldn’t get it done.
...
So pre-existing conditions are a tough deal. Because you are basically saying from the moment the insurance, you’re 21 years old, you start working and you’re paying $12 a year for insurance, and by the time you’re 70, you get a nice plan. Here’s something where you walk up and say, “I want my insurance.” It’s a very tough deal, but it is something that we’re doing a good job of.
