If you say so. But this display, in this town, for this event was clearly to provoke people.

While I thought about taking the bait, I didn't. They are clearly dumb enough not to understand my point.

Interesting that Republicans would bother having a booth at the Ann Arbor Art Fair. Can't imagine too many in that demographic voted for Dump.

Yea, but everyone comes, and everyone is welcome. It's just that I've never see such overt worship of a political figure like that.

Extreme viewpoints from either end of the political spectrum are usually displayed to provoke. The problem is, those identifying as republicans, and certainly without doubt or reasonable argument those identifying as trump supporters, are now by definition on the far extreme end of the political spectrum.

Our two party system would work so much better if the two parties weren't led by milquetoast pansies and authoritarian fascists nutjobs.

I really hope Dump does fire Sessions, and replaces him with Gules, who then fires Rosenstein and Mueller. The nakedness of the level of corruption and obstruction of justice going on within this administration, will then be on full display for anyone willing to admit it.

Meanwhile, Lyin' Ryan tries to smooth things over, with all the grace and aplomb of a guy trying to assure his best friend that his recent ex didn't really mean it when she said he was bad in bed. :D

Want to bet they had a video camera and a YouTube upload link ready to go, just in case someone went over the line with them? I'd bet it's a given.

You've heard of hollering about "paid, professional protesters"? Well, the RNC operatives are now just a bunch of paid, professional trolls.

You'd be surprised. When I was there Cornell broke down about 3:3:3:1 (Democratic, Green, Republican, Libertarian). Voting is like religion -- it's tribal, not rational, so if Daddy votes Republican, monkey see monkey do.

Problem is, what then? If this afternoon the Republicans came out and said "we're ending voting; we are now the permanent government of this country, and we have outlawed all opposition parties" they'd still have 95% of their voters in favor because all they see is the "R."

At Tech it was probably 3 / 0.1 / 5 / 2 on your scale. The Libertarians would meet the Democrats at campus newspaper or Keeweenaw Pride meetings, and the Republicans in either the Pistol Club (whackos), or the Competition Rifle Team (much more mixed/sane).

The Greenies, presumably, were shut-ins in the Forestry building, and are probably now in ELF. I never met one.

Kushner would like you all to know that neither he nor anyone else colluded with Russia and his Daddy-In-Law won fair and square.

Oh, and he can't explain why everyone in the campaign has spent all their time lying about Russia.

I was going with "Green" as a catch-all for the proto-Occupiers. In my day they had tent cities, protested apartheid, and worked for divestment. PCU actually has a fair representation of them. They're a lot of fun in bed but always be sure to keep your credit separate.

Libertarians predominate in engineering. B plus nerds who don't have any responsibilities and so see life as a huge Game Theory exercise. It is a species survival strategy that these kids are repellent well into their 30s and do not get laid until they grow out of it, and if they wait too long they fail to reproduce at all since it isn't cost effective.

Dump gets a rare hollow victory. Federal judge says that the data requested by the Election "Integrity" Commission doesn't violate our privacy since it's already publicly available, however individual states were not part of the suit, which was filed by EPIC. So therefore, the states who were resisting are not yet compelled to comply.
