Just a little dose of reality folks, please remember none of this is going to matter. trump ain't going nowhere unless the Democrats figure out how to win some elections and do it quickly. He's not resigning, he's not getting impeached by this congress and 40% of the voters STILL think he's already been one of the best presidents ever.

I know it's early to tell, but I think it's already mattered. The GOP has accomplished some nasty stuff since January but far less than they ought to have. They hold all the cards here, and yet the Child Clown has somehow prevented the game from going forward. Not completely, of course, and the night's not over, but who expected less?

I don't see them as have done anything of significance.
Heck, congress is borderline having to go and fix the ACA instead of the repeal and replace.
The amazing thing has been- R's have been given the keys to the Porsche, but they keep trying to start the renault that's in the neighbors driveway.
What's really funny about this- people have been polled to have gotten tired with the lack of work in congress, and right now, we totally see who was the source of that lack of work. I doubt people will really buy into that conclusion, but the data seems pretty clear at the moment. don is making their total ineptitude of leadership a whole lot easier.

The new location* is impossible to get to by car, has no parking anyway, and has no public transportation. It's going to be like Moses leading his people through the desert, twice a day.
* It does have one great aspect, though. It's the site of an abandoned lunatic asylum. The jokes write themselves.

Anybody else on the planet would be staring down the barrel of a prison term. With the Clintons the GOP would already be erecting a gallows and selling tickets on Fox. But not this family. They are untouchable by petty stuff like "laws."

Yes. Ryan and Mitch have the camps up and running but Dump keeps running around naked on the tracks, so he's slowing their trains down. A few have gotten through, and that's awful, but not nearly as many as the Republicans have been dreaming of.
Pence will make the trains run on time so be careful how you treat Dump.

There's no reason to assume this. I know nobody ever went broke underestimating the American voter, but still, we will make headway the only question is how much.
Obviously every Dump true believer is going to be at the polls, and obviously Sessions et al will try their best to suppress voting at Eastern European levels, but basically every college graduate in the US is now against Dump. That's 30% of the electorate and about 50% of those likely to vote. Granting that the actual Republicans among them (fewer every day with Republicans now overtly identifying education as "bad") will probably not cross the aisle, they will stay home. This should be a 2006-level midterm if we don't f-ck it up.

Just getting caught up on @RealPressSec tweets, and I see Trump tweeted two hours ago that he was pushing hard to get the Olympics for LA.
Cool. I didn't realize he needed to work so hard at securing the games when "[Los Angeles] is one of the two finalists for 2024 along with Paris. The International Olympic Committee announced that they would award the 2024 games to one city and the 2028 games to the other."
