POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

A whole lot of folks who voted for Trump didn't vote for Trump as much as they voted for the person who will be selecting Scalia's replacement plus one to three more in the coming four years. The specific group I have in mind are Evangelicals.

If that were true ****** everyone of them sideways. Anyone that is willing to sacrifice the good of the country for one issue doesn't deserve clean air to breathe, funded schools to educate the youth that will instead become criminals breaking into their homes, roads that are paved, and a life expectancy that isn't dwarfed by the rest of the civilized nations on Earth.

Evangelicals are America's answer to Sharia Law. People like that only care about one thing.

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

You changed it to get another Supreme. There is nothing in the Constitution that says you need 9 Justices.

First, I didn't change it. I may be a North Dakotan, but I'm not John Hoeven, and I'm not a registered anything. ;)

And the Constitution doesn't define the lower courts (your "unfilled judiciary") either.

Yet, you say it was good to go nuclear to fill the lower judiciary ... but not the Supreme Court?
So, fill the undefined lower courts but don't fill the undefined Supreme Court?

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

I don't think he's mentally ill. I think he's just a jack*****.

And Handyman, I'm going to hell faster than you because I reeeeeeeeeeeally want to see some of the Trump minions finally realize how bad this new healthcare plan is when they suffer some sort of malady. And I'm including some of the people I know.

Feel the same way. I want to see them have to pay for birthcontrol, not afford prenatal care and try to feed the resultant offspring. Try to pay for their diabetes meds, their parents who won['t be able to be admitted to LT care or have their meds paid for, have them not get screening tests and end up in the ER with unfixable diseases. Then I realize that the innocent people of the country will suffer that too and I cant get there.
This is a great rant. While Trump probably isn't technically mentally ill (those opposing such a claim point out that his wayward thinking would have to inhibit his ability to obtain a job, or feel pleasure, etc., to be diagnosable; and he's done fairly well for himself) but his twisted personality is so poisonous that he might as well be insane, as far as we all are affected.
As for the weird loyalty: I don't think it's because of the little "r." I think it's just the way he enrages all the liberals that gives all the little R-bots woodies. He could be independent with the same effect. He's a hatred-inspiring bloodsucker. All the hate flows through him.
The man fits a number of personality disorders. Definitely mentally ill. Why do you think the psych guys ere clamoring to have the rule overturned so they could talk abut public figures. Because the guy is batsh1t crazy- a sociopathic, malignant narcissist.

You give trump voters far too much credit. First of all, no where in the linked article is the Supreme Court mentioned. trump voters went his way largely because their lack of sophistication means a strongman appeals to them. They do most of their thinking with the ape-brain. That and the little "r" next to his name. Hell I could call myself a republican, spend most of the campaign talking about my pretty much modern republican like viewpoint about the second amendment and I would have gotten 60 million votes. Evangelicals are among the worst people of all for voting for a candidate who really doesn't share views, but just talks like he does. That has been the case ever since Carter vs. Reagan.
Heard an Evangelical asked how he could stomach the multiple character flaws and thoroughly unChristian behavior and the dude said flat out that tD would deliver the Supreme Court. When asked how that could be reconciled, wasn't that selling your soul to the Devil to get a good outcome instead of relying on God- Crickets. (NPR interview some Sat AM interview as I drove into Boston)

(pretend I fixed the multiple typos. Typing on a tiny keyboard. Not good at all)

I never said it was good. I said it was apples and oranges.

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

BS

The Dems were just trying to fill jobs. An unfilled judiciary is actually a deterrent to due process and against the Constitution. That's what the cock blockers were doing when they changed the nuclear option.

You changed it to get another Supreme. There is nothing in the Constitution that says you need 9 Justices.

Apples and ****ing Oranges.
This dude is on a par with Flaggy. He posts something and then sits back to watch. Waste of time. Why bother?

It really is too bad they can't reap what they sew without screwing the rest of the country.

Bullcrap.
Both changed the rules to ramrod what they wanted through (and in the process stick it up the < bleep > of the other side).
There's no altruism in what either did. None.

Your problem is you believe what happens in DC is going on for the benefit of "country".
It's all about Party, accumulation of power, and winning, winning, winning.
And that's no matter who's in power at the time.

And I'm not a centrist; I'm a cynic.

No, you're not. You're a self-deluded Fark Independent(tm) who carries water for the lazy man's argument that both sides are bad (so vote Republican).

They're not. And I'm getting sick of people like you claiming they are because you look at a paper cut and an amputation and think they're the same farking thing, never mind the paper cut was caused by a diploma while the amputation was done by Lizzy Borden.

It's not the lazy man's argument. It's the honest argument. The parties have all become Party First.
And, I voted for both Hoeven (R) and Heitkamp (D) in this State. But keep spinning your narrative.

Meanwhile, somewhere near Omaha, a proud day for Nebraska Democrats.

Your patten here is to disappear for a few weeks, come back and defend whatever trump is doing, and leave again. I'm dying to know- what prompts you coming back?

it's not an honest argument, it's a lazy argument. You don't have to put any thought into it, you just have to sit back and throw shiat at everyone else because they're all bad.

You're worse than flaggy in many respects, because he at least has convictions and goes with them, as insane as they are. You just want to stir the pot, and it just so happens it all goes in one direction.

I work.
I go on the road for work.
South Texas was pretty warm last week.

Thanks for your concern.

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

I do not think Sic is a troll at all. I think he's definitely a Republican given the tenor of his comments here going back years, but plenty of Rs and Ds think of themselves as Independent only waiting for the right candidate to come along. I kidded myself like that for a decade, too. I really believed it.

But there are no Independents. Especially now, when one party is in the center and the other is out beyond the Kuiper Belt on the deranged right.

Any time his statements are transcribed my brain is exhausted by the end trying to rework it into a comprehensible phrase.

Pick your issue: abortion, guns, yadda-yadda-yadda.

One issue voters are the norm. Welcome to America.

I think I only know four or five one-issue voters. Unless you consider incurable incompetence as an issue.
