Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

It's just the best people hiring their own best people. We've now got (best people)^2! Winning!

If they were already the best people aren't they by definition not hiring the best people?

Or are they hiring each other?

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

You guys say that all the time, but other than a handful of legislation, I don't think they have.

If you read the line directly after the one you bolded you would realize your post doesnt really make much sense. No one said they are getting what they want, we are saying they THOUGHT they could. Not the same thing.

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

There has to be a line they won't cross. The PM of NZ trolls Trump and he nukes Auckland. He f-cks Ivanka live during the SOTU. He says abortion should perhaps be legal if the life of the mother is at risk.

There has to be an offense the GOP won't forgive.

There is one...raising taxes on the rich. They will forgive anything stupid except that.

Beyond that maybe setting fire to a picture of Reagan or trying to repeal the 2nd Amendment.

Paul Ryan held a press conference to basically try and exonerate Trump for the Comey stupidity by claiming "he is new at this". Once you have gone that far to carry water for a clown who has historically low numbers and whose actions were widely panned by people on both sides there is nothing you wont do to protect the fearless leader.

Re: POTUS 45.12: Dan, does it take courage when encountering the covfefe?

GOP establishment tried to fight Trump. But he kept winning the primaries. Then all the other Derps (Carson) signed into Trump instead of others.

Now they're stuck with him. And we need to hang him around everyone of their necks in every election there is until it no longer works.

Yep. Trump is the new GOP. Whoever opposes any GOPer who ever voted in support of something Trump did or didnt denounce something publicly that he said/did needs to put that on every poster, in every chimerical, on T-Shirts hats and whatever. The next 2 elections the people have a chance to make up for their laziness and stupidity...if they choose not to then screw em.

BTW if I was a conservative group (a true one not the con job that pretends to be one now) I would remember that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. If you want any chance to have a legit conservative party some day you must defeat Trump. Swiftboat his childraping (alleged) butt!

So is he going to keep violating said embargo like last time?

I don't think they are trying to give don what he wants. That's my point.

don has taken every r healthcare proposal as his own, which isn't anything like what he said he wanted.

And the continuing resolution wasn't even in the same continent.

They are saying words that they are working with don. But I really don't think they are trying to.

What they ARE doing is what they want, and letting don latch onto it. Which isn't much better. More of a president mike thing. And the result if that is demonstrating the ideological splint for the Rs. There's no real leadership, especially at the pointy end.

Exactly, I think Handy got your meaning backwards. The GOP is willing to put up with DonnyDerp because they're ramming through what they want -- trillions in theft by the 1% and the destruction of democracy to ensure they can keep on stealing. They know all Trump wants is the adulation of Nero in the Coliseum, so they give it to him. If people get hurt along the way, f-ck em, they should have been born with trust funds.

Unfortunately for them Donny Derp is preventing the RAM SPEED they were expecting.

Which is why we should just lame the toddler and then leave him blocking their lane for the next few years.

Yes, and also fortunately for us the factions in the GOP are causing strife as well (Tuesday Group vs. Freedom Caucus).

It's funny (well, gross) how the lunatic fringe of the 00's is now the "moderate" group. The GOP is so diseased that by 2022 the Freedumbers will probably be considered the "moderates."

No...he got it backwards because I made the original comment. My point was the GOP leadership thought they could get what they want which is why they fellate him. They arent getting what they want. alfa then decided he would somehow equate that to me saying they ARE getting everything they want which is not what I said and now he is somehow equating it to me saying they are giving Don what he wants which had nothing to do with my point at all. This isnt rocket science.

Instead they figured they could use him to get what they want.

The above is what I said and he bolded. I am not sure why it is so hard to understand my point...

And that's how diseased the electorate and the media is. We see it every day on this board. People don't know where the middle is anymore because the GOP has moved **** so far to the right. People claiming to be centrist today are further right than most of Reagan's voters.

The left-leaning mainstream media and Democratic Party are complicit in the shooting of House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and four others at the GOP baseball practice. It was only a matter of time before something as heinous as this act of cowardice was bound to unfold. Both of these entities are so intent on taking down this sitting president at any cost with their lies, vicious slander, innuendo and false narratives. The hate and vitriol that is spewed by the unhinged left is really disgusting, and disgraceful to witness. Their violent nationwide protests, attempts at silencing free speech on our college campuses and intolerance of any viewpoints but their own run contrary to everything America stands for. The American people need to wake up to these seditious acts from the left and start ridiculing and condemning them for the treasonous acts they are perpetuating and condoning from their maniacal supporting base.

Which was the plan. Move the Overton Window so far right that centrist positions are considered "far left" and right wing wacko positions are considered "centrist." It worked. You can do a lot when elections are conducted of, by, and for the rich.

We should be advocating single payer, universal guaranteed basic income and reparations from the left, and compromising. Instead we're advocating positions that would be considered center-right in the 1970s. And as we have retreated the country has gone to sh-t for everyone without a penthouse in NYC.

It's not a coincidence that we get our social policies but the plutes get their economic policies. That was the trade when corporations bought the media and bribery became a protected First Amendment right, and until we break that there will be no help.
