POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

Re: POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

That is great.

Trump is quite possibly the biggest fool in history. That's an achievement.

I'd be interested in hearing what some of the Party's more prominent political minds, like Sarah Palin, have to say about his performance so far.

Re: POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

Sounds like Trump's personal attorney has been subpoenaed by the House Intel Committee. He's already said he will not cooperate.

Frankly, I'm not even sure why they subpoenaed him. Attorney-client privilege would obviously apply. Are there cases when it wouldn't?

There is the possibility that Trump may have waived the privilege if, for example, a third party was present.

Re: POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

Will the conservatives on the board please disavow this gangster?

The deliberate manipulation of US foreign policy for personal profit. If that isn't treason, what is?

538.com has his support down to 39% in its daily tracking poll. Is he finally losing a little bit of support among republicans? A poll last week in Michigan showed only 67% of likely republican voters say he's doing a good job and 29% say he's doing a fair or poor job.

The sad thing is reading some of the responses of trump voters who still stick with him. They reveal just how naive (and in some cases, dumb) these voters are. People all over the place say they voted for him because he "talks like an ordinary working guy." How these people think he's "one of them" because he SOUNDS like them is beyond me. They are too naive, unsophisticated or just downright unintelligent to realize he talked like one of them to get their votes, not because he actually THINKS like one of them.

How in the world can we ever get people like those kinds of trump voters to understand the folly of voting for someone who sells snake oil? Their lives being exponentially more difficult because politicians use them for vote fodder hasn't ever been enough. What the hell will it take?

Just remember. We all failed cause we all didn't convince them to do otherwise on November 8th. Go ahead. Convince them. Find one and do the conversion. Good luck. I bet it has the same success rate as Conversion Therapy

Wait, so you didn't have a millionaire dad to give you lots of money to lose on buildings. Losing so much to declare bankruptcy more than once?

I thought everyone was like that.

Realistically, he sounds like them because they embrace being *******s. Being politically incorrect is a real goal, as opposed to just being nice. They are the continually oppressed white male. Oppressed by multiple minorities, oppressed by women, oppressed by lack of jobs. etc. The most oppressed majority of all time.

Sure let's go to majority rather than electoral votes then too.

I believe they are looking specifically at his actions, not as a way to hear about Trumps.

This is good in the long run. The end of 60 on all votes means the end of 37 years of Reaganomics. Ryan's last budget will be the last gasp. The Senate, with the country split as it is, is just a gatekeeper for the 1%.

More democracy = good, in the long haul.

Also the lawyer can't partake in illegal activity himself, right? As in if he was the intermediary between money being passed to Trump's campaign from his Kremlin overlords he can't hide behind attorney client privilege can he?

No it's not. Mob rules is a recipe for disaster and you know it.

Good question. If the lawyer doesn't know who he's passing off the money too (and I would guess most lawyers won't ask questions, so they can claim ignorance later on), the lawyer might be in the clear.

Say I am Trump's lawyer. He gives me money to hand to John Doe. That's all the info I have. Later on, John Doe is found to be a courier for Russian important people. I didn't know that at the time. I should be good to go.

Do NOT quote me on this, but I believe that is correct per the law, etc.

Kep's theory works if Dems can be bothered to participate in elections, especially mid-terms. If they don't and we get killed like we did in 2010 and 2014, that's not a good thing.

LOL

All we need to do is convince people to vote Democrat. It's so simple, even a child can do it.

I think its more like convincing Democrats to vote. They did come out in 2006 and 2008 so its possible to get them off their butts.

Yes, if the 1% controls the government from now until the end of time, bad things will happen. :p

But I look at it this way. Right now they get everything they want anyway, because the government is frozen and they control all the other levers of power in this country. The beauty of democracy is it is a non-violent way for everyone else to resist the rich. That's why the Kochs and Norquist and the rest have demonized government: it's the only thing keeping them from turning us into the authoritarian plutocracies that existed before modern democracy.
