POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

Re: POTUS 45.10 - Stage Two in Perpetuity

I've been fighting this battle for years. We celebrate Independence Day and Veteran's Day. We commemorate Memorial Day. But we also live in a world where the vast majority of people think we're supporting the troops as long as we say "I support the troops" or we all stand and cheer during the first media timeout of the second period when our home team trots out a local (or not so local) veteran for us to appreciate. My last straw as a NASCAR fan came a few years ago when the talking heads on FOX completely lost sight of the meaning of this holiday during a pre-race telecast and kept wishing everyone a "happy Memorial Day" and literally one of the talking heads repeated over and over "I want to wish all the veterans out there a happy memorial day and thank you for your service."

I support the troops by using today to purchase mattresses marked down to record low prices and New Era baseball caps with camo logos.

Memorial Day is not about supporting the troops, it's about honoring the dead.

That tweet was from last year, Handy. Oh, and from the @POTUS account he* finally tweeted about the stabbing in Portland.

*well, one of his staffers did. No way he wrote that. It's not in his voice.

Also, Ivanka tweeted out a recipe for champagne popsicles for celebrating Memorial Day. The replies to that tweet are gold.

You are right...one day I will understand twitter better my bad :)

I've *****ed about this before, and it's a good time to +1 to this.

We live in a time that live veterans get a lot of public thanks, but lots of suicides and mental heath problems and no help. We make them stand at athletic events for a nice applause, but struggle to help homeless vets. We even have a lot of patriotic sounding groups to donate money to, but a government that thinks that it's ok to put your life on the line to only face struggles at home due to lack of support. And that last part is VERY bi-partisan (although, more frustrating to the side that really does a job to play on the patriotism thing).

I know this is the day we remember those who sacrificed the ultimate. But it's also a reminder for those who sacrificed some only to be left behind in the real world.

Vonnegut said it best:

Armistice Day was sacred. Veterans Day is prostitution. Memorial Day is inanity.

@realDonaldTrump: Russian officials must be laughing at the U.S. & how a lame excuse for why the Dems lost the election has taken over the Fake News.

Every one of these tweets is designed to further indoctrinate his followers. He keeps hammering away with the lies and with each one they believe it a little more. If his ego was just a little more out of control he'd have fun tweeting things like "life discovered on the moon." He could tweet it over and over and almost 40% of the nation would believe it to be true after a couple of days. Then he could sit in the dark at 3:00 a.m. choking his chicken because he's so impressed with how he can say anything and they'd buy it. If it wasn't so serious I'd have a hard time not laughing in the face of anyone who said they voted for trump and pitying how unbelievably naive they they are.

Naaah.

It's because he is the type of man that carries around a picture of his dick next to a ruler. That's all. He used to carry around his "Apprentice" ratings. Now he carries around his electoral college victory.

Everything is in this context.

What a wasted life. He's pathetic.

Except donnie needs to carry around a picture of someone else's dick next to a ruler.

Will the conservatives on the board please disavow this gangster?

The deliberate manipulation of US foreign policy for personal profit. If that isn't treason, what is?

Too complicated for the people who voted for Trump. No stick. No impeachment.
