POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

I like how you conveniently ignored the fact that you guys have an elected Republican government, just like us. Go ahead and deflect to attacks on my alma mater though. I'm used to it. ;)

Face it - if you had a couple million more residents, your eligible voters would have tipped the scales for Trump, too. You're just too bitter and scared to admit it.

If I recall, Mn was close in 04, then after four years of Georgie swung back even more dem in 08. May happen again in 2020

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

That is like complaining about all the STDs you get but then always sleeping with the girls at NMU ;)

All NMU girls have STDs? Misogynist!

Hey, I didn't vote for poison; neither did Flint, it seems. The fact is, we have a lot of folks in this state who don't care about poor people who live elsewhere (especially in cities), getting screwed by their own government. And I think you're likely to find a large share of people in Minnesota who feel the exact same way; especially rural people. 43,000 or so more of them voting for Trump, and guess who is a Trump state?

I'll credit you for avoiding it this cycle, but you're not as far away from Michigan as you think, bub. So get down from that high horse. :D

EDIT: A more interesting study in Genesee County might be the individual precincts, because Flint is roughly in the middle of it, while the city is surrounded by rural areas, and even a wealthy enclave (Grand Blanc) to the southeast.

I believe it was the rural areas that left President blank but I cant remember to be honest. Michigan as a whole had too many that did that.

And until we go Red we are better than you so suck it up and accept it ;) :p If it makes you feel better you can have Brenthoven and the rest of the Tech loving "Gopher" fans as a consolation prize :D

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

Also, for those who wish to keep score at home, you too can keep track of the violence within the city limits of Chicago at www. hey jack a** .com. Swap in an "s" for each asterisk.

City wide, we're up to five "Shot-in-the-a**" victims. And one self-inflicted gunshot. :D

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

Hat trick, because I want to juice my post count for the hell of it... :D

Chicagoans are getting quicker at this whole gun violence too.
In 2014, a person was shot in the city limits every three hours and 19 minutes. A person was murdered every 19 hours and 22 minutes.

2014: 3hr:19min per shooting / 19hr:22min per murder
2015: 2hr:55min per shooting / 17hr:29min per murder
2016: 2hr:01min per shooting / 11hr:03min per murder (almost halved that time!)
2017 (through today): 2hr:16min per shooting / 12hr:33min per murder (slippin' a little!)

Also, the Donald tells lies. It's 248 shootings (+20) and 44 killings (+2) currently. January 2016 totaled 246/57 for the month. So shootings are up, homicides are down!

Nah, mel lives here now. She may be a conservative Minnesotan, but we've got her. ;)

I don't mind claiming Brent, either...he's cool enough, I guess. He won't allow it, though.

:D

Do pass that, if you don't mind. :)

Forgive the grammatical error, not my fault.

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

Donald knows this will level out to prior years' level (still high) and he will take credit for it. It's a perfect act. He has been caught in so many blatant lies and threatened so many actions that are unconstitutional, none of which prevented him from being elected, that he feels he is (and may be) immune from political harm from such things. He's off in a place where he is saying, "you don't understand yet what I'm doing, but you will see that it works." When his statements prove false, he basically says, "that was not my point," and if and when they prove true, he takes credit. When the murder rates level out, he will say his tough talk caused it. If they do not, he will do something "fedish" and claim it prevented things from getting even worse.

You should see the party supporters all butt-to-face about this one. Unless the crap in Chicago has spread to Indiana or Wisconsin, let Rahm's "supporters" fight each other off, or consider working with Illinois State authorities.

In News No One Will Find Shocking The Urine King is Cutting Funding to the Arts

"The Hill, whose source is an unnamed member of Drumpf’s transition team, reported that Drumpf will eliminate both the National Endowment For The Arts and the National Endowment For The Humanities, and privatise the Corporation For Public Broadcasting."

I amm sure we will hear this is to balance the budget...but that is like trying to balance your companies budget by cutting spending on paper clips. Only this move actually makes our kids dumber.

Translation:

I also don't believe in drugs. For years I paid my people extra so they wouldn't do that kind of business. Somebody comes to them and says, "I have powders; if you put up three, four thousand dollar investment, we can make fifty thousand distributing." So they can't resist. I want to control it as a business, to keep it respectable.

I don't want it near schools! I don't want it sold to children! That's an infamia. In my city, we would keep the traffic to the dark people, the coloreds. They're animals anyway; let them lose their souls.

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

What has he lied about?

Is Hillary in jail? Is Mexico building the wall? Did 3 million people vote illegally? Is he going to release his tax returns when the audit is done? And that is just stuff off the top of my head...and remember those werent suggestions he claimed all of these as fact.

Man it is fun to watch you defend a guy doing everything you ****ed your pants thinking Obama would do. You are a clown who has less credibility than the crap news sites you try and get us to click on. Even people at 4chan have more credibility than you! Congrats Frauddy :D

Well, Kepler said yesterday that I was wrong and America isn't dead.

Today Trump ****es on the Statue of Liberty. America dies.

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

Rahm's response:
“There’s a lot the federal government can do,” Emanuel said, citing gun control, use of federal resources to track illegal guns and federal prosecutions. “And also, fundamentally, in my view, also help fund additional police officers.

“Over the years the federal government’s stepped back their resources, which we have stepped up. The federal government can be a partner, and to be honest they haven’t been for decades.”

Trump’s tweet came a day after Emanuel made comments critical of the new president. The mayor criticized Trump for focusing on the size of the crowd at his inauguration ceremony and suggested his inaugural speech wasted an opportunity to appeal to “our better angels as a country.”

The mayor also responded to the pro-law enforcement message on whitehouse.gov reading, “The dangerous anti-police atmosphere in America is wrong. The Trump administration will end it.”

Emanuel said police need to have professional standards and public support, and acknowledged the “Ferguson effect” in which some officers may patrol less aggressively to avoid having their actions second-guessed. But Emanuel saw no need for departments to enact tactics like stop-and-frisk.
