POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

Then NBC Radio News (KFYR Bismarck), CBS Radio News (KFGO Fargo), and ABC Radio News (WDAY Fargo), must all be "leftish". I heard them all lead with "measuring" yesterday and a just a mention of the "Mexico City" policy on just one (think it was CBS).

So?

Fact is we have a representative Democracy. We vote for people to deal with the minutia of policy and law so we don't have to. The News reports the News. And that's what they're doing. If you're not smart enough to find a decent news source for yourself that's a personal problem.

No one on the right cared about this **** when Fox News started doing it's bit.

Meanwhile I bet this guy gets confirmed.

I strongly oppose Health and Human Services nominee Tom Price's policy proposals to gut Medicare and Medicaid. But this isn't just a policy fight. We need cabinet secretaries with a proven history of working for the American people, not a proven history of using their positions of power to try and make a buck. Tom Price doesn't meet that standard. ‎Watch my questions to him about just one of his many ethically questionable financial activities while in office – the time he bought stock in a hip and knee manufacturer, and then six days later, introduced a bill that would help the company by cutting HHS regulations affecting hip and knee replacements.

From Elizabeth Warren's Facebook.

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

it matters for the solid reasons you state that we can't be distracted by the content of his lies. However, it is a very important thing that trump and his administration will stand there and simply say 2 + 2 = 5.

All politicians have stretched the truth, chosen different angles to view facts from, been disingenuously selective in which facts they cite and which they ignore. But very few, and those never at this high a level, have just told bald faced lies and then gone nuclear on anyone fact-checking them. Even fox and hate radio have only done this by implication, tweaking their coverage to insinuate falsehoods but rarely uttering demonstrably, obviously false statements. They probably wanted to, but they couldn't effectively because their lie would be exposed and undercut what they were trying to achieve with it. It was self-destructive to baldly lie.

Trump is completely different. the president of the united states is an actual, clinical pathological liar. And our politics is now so broken that the vast majority of people who voted for him either don't think it matters or deliberately ignore it, simply because they voted for him.

That has never happened before so overtly and totally. The only place it has been visible before is the conspiracy media. It's not that they try to hide or divert attention from the truth. It's that they simply define truth as whatever is needed in that particular instant for their advantage.

This is new. One political party has simply stopped caring about empirical reality. And the voters rewarded them for it.

Right!

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

Speaking of Fox we can all sit back and enjoy Bill O'Reilly (Their top pundit and ratings man) and his take on the women's march.

It turns out that according to conservatives, not all protesters are “anarchists,” because we now have Bill O’Reilly claiming that the Women’s March was a “totalitarian” event. According to O’Reilly, the 3 to 4 million + women who showed up were “told to show up” because “all totalitarian regimes are fueled by whip-ups.”

So for O’Reilly, Trump isn’t the totalitarian these women were protesting, but they represented totalitarians against Trump. Apparently, pink ***** hats are the new “Red Menace.”

DAPL? Yes.

Keystone? Remember, that's coming from Canada. International trade is a Trump dog whistle. He'll want something from Ottawa. "Dealmaker" and all, ya-know.

Wrong.

U.S. President Donald Trump will sign two executive actions on Tuesday to advance construction of the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, an administration official said, rolling back key Obama administration environmental policies in favor of expanding energy infrastructure.

To further Scoobs post, the news that tells me nothing, told me this morning that one of the exec actions Trump will sign is to undo a Bush executive action that requires all interntional energy projects to be approved by the State Dept. That is where Keystone was being held up, and once undone State will no longer have a say in Keystone.

Appears the Environmentalists didn't like Hillary either. So, they voted third party. I hope they enjoy the result.

Hmmm... some are saying Comey will stay as FBI director... Trump getting in bed with the goblins? I think we can kiss indicting Hillary goodbye...

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... *Deep breath* ... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ....

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

Language is dynamic, as are rules of grammar, though less so. After Trump's presidency, it will be a small "p" when referring specifically to him. president Trump.

The Russian hookers claim that Trump has a small "p" :D

It's obviously a "thanks for helping me beat Hillary" athletic butt-slap. He'll be gone in a year, two tops.

Tell me again how clean Flint's water is?

Trump makes it all four years. Repubs hold the house and Senate in 2018. *Unless* the wheels fall off the Obamacare replacement. Then we may see red counties turn.

Re: POTUS 45.1 - You take the high road and I'll take the low road

I want the wapo and nyt to continue what they are doing- call him a liar on stuff because it starts to undermine him and prove that he lies and can't be trusted. Along with reporting how he wants to rape the environment and banish women to the 19th century

He didn't mean two years tops for Trump. He was talking about Comey.
