I'm sorta amused by all the back and forth here, particularly amongst the press. You know, the very people who helped get Trump elected with their absolute loyalty to the concept of false equivalency. Even yesterday CNN made sure to note that Clinton fired an FBI director too!!!! (with no context of course, he wasn't being investigated by William Sessions who happened to be corrupt).
Anyways, the prevailing sentiment seems to be to ask the Republicans to "do the right thing" and to "save democracy as we know it" or some such other BS. This implies that there are ANY Republican Congresscritters out there who don't value loyalty to the party over loyalty to the country. Here's a newsflash - there aren't.
What you'll get is the FBI investigating Trump for 2 more years on their own because he put the kibosh on his former ally Comey. They'll do this behind the scenes as GOP majority slow walks any and all investigations. Therefore if you want to learn THE TRUTH I'd highly suggest electing Dems to the majority next year, at least in the House of Representatives so that the FBI investigation can come to light. Otherwise, not only will Trump and his GOP pals continue to cover up their treasonous activities with the Russians, they will openly flaunt it under the guise that liberals are in fact too lazy to show up during mid-term elections.
