The Bears men lacrosse team won their first ever playoff game today by beating Geneseo 18-17. No international students on the squad. Cortland on Saturday for the SUNYAC championship.

They could beat a handful of D-1 teams.

The Bears beat Geneseo twice this season. Who knows what can happen on Saturday.

Yeah, the same thing's kept me away from downtown Plattsburgh. Well, that plus it's downtown Plattsburgh.

From what I have heard, on Monday there will be a meeting with all of the athletes involved to discuss their options.

Well it was a great season IMO, beat Geneseo (first time since I don't know when), finished 2nd in the League, hosted a playoff game for the first time. Not a bad season at all.

Sounds like some pretty good lemonade, you can't win them all, but you can make the best of what you got :cool:

Update:
Much like similar conditions for prior violations with other teams and financial aid. The athletes will be allowed to keep the aid but not play their sport.

Or, they could forgo the aid and choose to play.

There is a third option -- they could take the aid and play, but then the team becomes ineligible for postseason play.
