Maybe the Knights took the Bears too "Light" and ended up getting "Creamed"The question is were they playing against Genny Cream or Genny Light?

Potsdam played very hard and well. Simple but effective.
At times, it appeared Geneseo was looking ahead to Plattsburgh.
The question is were they playing against Genny Cream or Genny Light?

I think there may have been a bit of that going on in Brockport as well...but the Cards were able to hang on !

I think you will see 2 ****ed off teams tonight...Genny looked out of Sync,first game jitters?? Da Bears played well,and if their dman hits the puck off the glass on the penalty kill they shutout Genny,bears also hit a post at the end of the 2nd,also out shot genny..all-around sloppy game,but it is the start of the season,maybe why Platty is 0-13 on the PP?? They have to get that straightened out in order to win,i am sure they will sooner than later. 1-0 win over Bport , a wins a win,just like Oswego pulling a 4-3 win at Buff state,these SUNYAC games are for real......Should be a fun game in Genny love the atmosphere there......Oswego 1st home game vs Cort,Remies team

Happy Hump Day! I will finally get my first look at the Bears this season on Saturday night as they take on Buffalo St. The last time these two teams played, well let's just say it was interesting at the end of the game. Overall another big homestand in the YAC this weekend coming up.

I'm looking for a Potsdam sweep this weekend. Fredonia seems to be struggling early and Buff State doesn't have Carr anymore and gave up 9 goals against at home vs Morrisville last weekend. Could be a long season for the Blue Devils and Bengals.

Don't sleep on Fredonia. They were hanging right there with Oswego pretty well until the goaltender became no existent. They still had their chances. I'd put Hall right up there with some of the best goaltenders in the league. He gives Potsdam a chance to win every night. Keep in mind, Fredonia is 0-1-1. More importantly JUST 0-1-1. With only 2 conference games played, and a big pile up from 3-6, its a huge weekend for both squads. Sure Potsdam beat Geneseo, but after watching them I'm not so sure how "impressive" that is. I would agree with you Remy, the biggest problem for Potsdam for the past few seasons is they don't always know how to win. I think once this program gets over that hump, they will be a solid top 4 team in the SUNYACs every year. Gotta have success to be successful.

Finally I was able to attend a Bears game tonight. First and foremost, I truly miss being on the mic but life sometimes gets in the way of fun. Nevertheless, they have a pretty good kid doing it now. Maxcy was packed and I was afraid that I might lose my seat if I went to the bathrooom. Potsdam played with great energy and Coach Bernard's recruiting efforts are starting to pay dividends. Jon Hall is so darn steady and you can see the confidence the kids have playing in front of him.
That being said, I must say I have zero and I mean ZERO respect for Buff St. after witnessing one of their players who decided to skate behind Hall and trip him with his stick. Hall went down and laid there forever or so it seemed. I can't believe the style of hockey they play, maybe in the 70's their kind of play would have been acceptable but today no way. They are dirty, hack and whack, trip, hands to the face, trip goalies...we like a good clean brand of hockey now. I just find it revolting that a program has to play like that.
