Considering I am a past organizer of the PoTY, I must dis-associate that particular election and its procedures from whatever half-arsed, random, butcher job that is in the Polls Section right now. The Official PoTY had definite rules and procedures for nominations, groupings, advancement from said groups, etc.

While I cannot force anyone to NOT use PoTY as the name of future elections that do not follow the same guidelines, I can let it be known that what is passing off as PoTY currently is a farce and an embarrassment to an honorary tradition.

It'd be cool if there was someone who knew how to run it right that would take it over and save it.

If someone wants to take the reins, I have said that I'd tell them the process. I said it last year, and I'll repeat it this year, as it was handed down to me from CommAvHusky (retired poster, and originator of PoTY).

You are one of the few who "get" it, and actually respect the process, somewhat.

Trust me, it's a compliment that I probably messed up in giving.
