Never the Oscars, I went to Emmys. And sadly I haven’t been since 2018. Couldn’t go in 2019 as I was still recovering from reconstructive ankle surgery. Then the pandemic hit and they didn’t have an audience in 2020. Limited audience in 2021. And 2022. Was thinking about going this past September but couldn’t. Going to try and go in 2025.

Bad memory on my part.

Greetings Lodge peeps! Glorious week of weather here in 617-ville. So, yesterday was my birthday. I had to be in the office for a big event I was managing (I'm in all week). I had no plans to go out, and as luck would have it, the Boston Celtics were raising their championship banner. I wasn't sure I should, but then figured, why not treat myself? Went on to Ticketmaster and spent an absurd amount of money for one ticket. Had a blast. Great game, the banner raising ceremony was amazing. It was a good night. I had really wanted to go to North Dakota to catch BU play out there this weekend, but couldn't swing it because of this event. I did the girl math in my head and between airfare, hotel, potential rental car, game tickets and food and beverage, I probably would have spent twice as much as I spent on this ticket. So, happy birthday to me!!

Apparently I’m at the *HT. What a disastrous loss. Glad I didn’t go all that way to see that. Also, as it turns out, I wouldn’t have been able to go as I got Covid. I had been fighting a mild cold (or so I thought) since Monday then late Thursday I got really congested and felt blah. Friday I woke up with a headache so I took a test. Last night I wasn’t in the mood to pay money to watch the game on my iPad so I watched The Comeback on NESN and relived the 2004 Red Sox.

Since the thread appears to be from a Quinnipiac University forum and mentions their impressive hockey achievements, you could also add a brief comment about the Bobcats if you follow their team.
