Good morning Lodge and Happy Friday! Had a really good day yesterday. I FINALLY got my permanent tooth implanted. This whole thing started over a year ago. COVID caused me to have to re-schedule this final appointment twice. I'm just glad it's finally over. It looks good. Feels weird.

Then last night I had tickets to see one of my teen idols. My tickets were in the front row!! I went with an old friend I grew up with. She and I were big fans when we were, like 12 or 13. We lost touch, re-connected on Facebook. Her youngest sister and my younger brother are BFFs and have been since they were 3 years old so we've randomly kept in touch. But it was so much fun going with her. We had dinner and drinks, something we weren't able to do the last time we saw this guy in concert. Because we were 14 - ha ha! The show was great. A little too short. I wish it was an hour longer. Very enjoyable night.

Have you ever been invited out to a restaurant and there is literally nothing on the menu you like?

Yes.
Most of the time I can find a side dish or something. I'll just have a baked potato, thanks.
What I should do is try new things, but I don't like spending money on things I may not like.

Also, what restaurant were you at? I'm curious to see the menu

Select Oyster Bar

It's tonight. We're going to a Speakeasy first. I thought there would be food there but I guess not. Like you, I can usually find something but this menu is a little too eclectic for me. Oysters make me want to gag so I won't be having any of those.

::raises hand:: I can't eat beef, processed meats (including bacon- teh big suck!!), mushrooms. It isn't even like I can choke it down. I love all the stuff but get physically ill if I have it. Sometimes I can't even find an app that is clean of all that. It is a royal pain in the neck. Add that I am not fond of chili or other hot spicy stuff. It amazes me that there are places that literally have nothing on the menu that doesn't have bacon or chilis.

Good Evening Lodge.
June sucks. It has been like a complete month of Tuesdays. Hoping things calm down. I used to get paid to do case management. Now I am spending multiple days of the week dealing with people that are non-compliant or have decided to massage the reality into something they like better. It doesn't end well and then we are all shocked! Shocked I say. Add the other family members who also are incapable of dealing with reality and are either encouraging delusions or having them ... I am going to heaven.

Howdy Lodge peeps. Back from a weekend in NYC where I saw my first teen idol crush perform at what was once Studio 54. He's been doing these cool shows over the past month. Saw him the week before at a local theater. Such a good show. This one was cabaret-style seating and we had a $25 minimum food/beverage order. Which I easily blew through - ha! Made the show even that much more entertaining.

Got home late afternoon yesterday, went food shopping, picked up Chinese food for dinner, started watching the end of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Had to put the A/C on for the first time this year as it was so muggy. Turned it off after an hour or so and heard water running. My heat pump was dripping. Greeeeaaat. I put down some towels. It stopped after a while but the towels and the rug under it are soaked. I called this morning for a service appointment. Haven't heard back yet. I hope I hear back soon as I'm trying to plan my in the office days for the week.
