Wasn't that started by tUMD fans making fun of former poster Phil Dupree, who always referred to himself in the third person? FadeToBlack&Gold cannot remember exactly.

Watching hockey with wT baby, I tell her "Barry Melrose is terrible. If you weren't aware of that fact, now you are."
snarky almost 3 year old responds, "no, I [first name] [last name]"

Every cloud has a silver lining department.
For two years due to COVID, East and West Potomac Parks were closed (2020) and more-or-less closed (2021). This year, even without many tourists buses, it is complete bedlam again. Someday I will understand why blocking a road to take wedding pictures with the blossoms as a background isn't cause for arrests. :-D

It's too bad that DC is unlikely to bid on a regional hockey tournament, with a day off on Friday or Saturday, walking or biking to the cherry blossoms would be a great way to spend part of a day. When the FF is held they are usually pretty much gone as they were in 2009.

HHT! Sorry Mark.

Now to try and convince myself I do not need to go to Boston. NaSK says he can't get time off, it's a long trip to make alone, and we've got busy weekends before and after

Sorry Mark.
No need to be. We were not on our game during the first two periods. Luckily we found it in the 3rd and made things interesting until a poor decision likely cost us a legitimate shot of at least tying that game. Woulda, coulda, shoulda... we'll never know. But we had a great season regardless and have lots to look forward to.

:-D

I both envy and hate a couple of my friends who have MSU as their alma mater and MN as their other team. No matter what happens on Thursday, they have a pony in the race on Saturday.

In a case like that...I'd guess you have to pack both jerseys and decide which to wear Saturday based on Thursday's result.

Good morning Lodge. Spending less time today debating a trip to Boston. Gonna stay home, watch with my family and save the money for next year's Frozen Four which we will plan to attend regardless if our team is going. wT baby will be almost 4 then, and I think we could make a nice trip to Tampa and Orlando for baby girl's first amusement park experience. She might not be old enough to remember it by then, but I think she'll still have a lot of fun.
